Another section just so I can keep the update section separated and the like.

Volume 1 Chapter 3 Part 1 has been uploaded.

13.5/50 pages translated.

next update: 5.5 pages.

2 more updates until the novel FINALLY catches up with the manga, which is where I've wanted to be for sooo long....

LOLz how about a small thread for each chapter? Thats what is happening on my KnS forums anyways, easy to refer to for help and such.

And sorry, in the end I didnt really find that much time to proof read PuiPui...

eh, it's fine. til someone actually does go through and point out my vast majority of mistakes, (well, I know I've definitely made a few here and there at LEAST...) then...for all intents and purposes, I am perfect

I have time on my hands so I will get around to proof reading them soon if you want me to.

Thanks! I was getting slow for a number of reasons. Mainly, well...it doesn't really seem to have too many people interested. Even so, by the end of tomorrow I'll have chapter 3 done. That's 4 chapters....

Trabius, can I ask what made you decide to pick this up too?

I imagine it gets tiring to translate the same thing for many months. Trabius probably wanted to try something new.

Speaking of the Ch. 4 translation, here are several points:

I turned Alf Layla into Alf Lyla to be consistent with previous chapters.

Alf Lyla should be added to the "places" section of the guidelines.

Previous chapters have names "last name first, first name last." Ch. 4 is "first name last, last name first." The two should be reconciled.

And please don't add paragraph separator when there isn't any without checking the raws.

Since Krikit had been putting the ***'s in all the previous chapters gaps I had just assumed they all had them. I won't add any in the future.

I figured if I brought up the "Alf Layla" here, you guys would select the right one.

Yeah, I didn't realized at first that Krikit was the first one to add them in the previous chapters when there wasn't any.

Btw there is a missing translation in chapter 1.

Yeah, pretty much.

Besides, I was looking for stuff to read when I ran across a batch download of light novels and saw this was one of them. Since Toradora already has a few other tl's and Krikit is all by his lonesome, I thought I'd try to help out.

Couple style questions for Krikit. Are we going with Nicolai for the butler? I think Nikolai is more common, though I'm not sure. Should I leave terms like Oujo-sama/Onee-san untranslated? And like Akira asked, are we doing family name first or last?

Also, I assume the brackets Vaelis added to Ch. 2 are used commonly in Japanese to indicate "internal dialog/thoughts." But in English, brackets are typically used for an aside within a sentence itself (sort of like this); while italics are used for internal thoughts (or to emphasize a particular phrase). I haven't seen any use of brackets like in Ch. 2. I would suggest switching them to italics.
