Re: Sword Art Online LN Discussion.
I didn't read any spoiler box message because a few post back someone said that there's a spoiler for web novel which I don't want to read. and it's quite confusing for me which one is web novel spoiler and which one isn't (or if everything is web novel spoiler >.>)
and yeah, if it's not from web novel, probably something like the volume (if you remember) or early/middle/end of x arc will help
anyway, are there any particular reason why Reki change a tiny detail from web novel, like 40k -> 10k? or is it purely on a whim?

Well I guess he decided that 40k players in a 1-kilometer Starting city... it should be a bit overpopulated. And even in a 10-kilometer 1st floor too.

Wrong thread. head over to the terminology thread.
But I'll answer anyway. its because fan translators don't have any idea what the author thinks, and have to make assumptions.

Also the name ≪Integrity Knight≫ is just badass.

Hellos...
I have a question, regarding the translations of the Light Novel.
It has to do with the number of Fuurinkazan members, and some weird inconsistency...
Volume 1, Chapter 10 has this text here.
"I glanced at the leader of the six-man party and relaxed my shoulders. He was the katana-wielder that I had known for the longest time in Aincrad."
While Volume 2, Red-Nosed Reindeer has this,
"What appeared was a group of 10 people, and standing right in front was a samurai guy in light armor, a katana on his waist, and a headscarf—Klein."
I believe there's a mistranslation somewhere, or at the very least, an inconsistency.
Would someone confirm for me the truth? Thanks in Advance.

Re: Sword Art Online LN Discussion.
Mhhh, that could be... Knowing that the 50th floor's boss was especially strong, why not.
But if it were to be the case, it's still strange that neither Klein nor Kirito say anything about that... It should have been really tough for Klein if it was so.

Well, but none of the Fuurinkazan members died :|
"They said that all the members of «Fuurinkazan» had known each other even before SAO had started. Klein had protected and guided all of them, without losing even a single member, until each of them had become a capable player of the front-lines. He had managed to bear the weight that I had run away from in fear two years ago, on the day that this death game began." - Volume 1, Chapter 10
THIS is what really gets me...

Heck, look like an inconsistency, indeed.
Well, now we need a translator to check either it's Kahawara sensei's mistake or just a translation's one.

Re: Sword Art Online LN Discussion.
Why not suppose that Klein just didn't take all of his guys to 74th labirinth?
Remember:
- big squads are ineffective in dungeon corridors.
- the official party size in SAO is limited to 6 people (remember Aria).

If I remember well the "absolute sword" part where there is all that story about being 7...

Re: Sword Art Online LN Discussion.
He probably didn't take all of them along.
10 in the guild, but SAO's limit for a party's 6, so the other 4's probably slacking/training elsewhere.
And ALO's limit for a party is 7.

Hmmm... I suppose that would explain it...
However, they only said that 6 was the recommended number for a party, for the sake of efficiency, and communication...
