O.o seems that my knowledge of Japanese is too scarce to say much in these matters....

And NERDLES? Pretty long name XD

I like Fina better though! D: It sounds better than Pina O.o

as Tap mentioned and has given the expanded acronym, NERDLES is the original word :)

小竜ピナ: yup, looks like Pina to me.

This is a pretty major change, but I'm just going to put this out there.

In Part 3 of Morning Dew Girl, the "Army" (軍) is introduced as "ALF", or "アインクラッド 解放 軍" (spacing added), which was translated into "Aincrad Liberation Army" earlier by Sharramon.

Obviously, "Army" doesn't start with "F".
The only synonym that starts with it would probably be "Force".

...So, my point is this.
Should we change every single instance of "Army" to "Force"?
Or should we just use two separate names, "Army" and "Aincrad Liberation Force", despite them using the same kanji?

Changing the acronym to "ALA" is out of the question, while calling them "the Force" sounds kindda odd too.
For accuracy, "Force" would be better, but for readability, "Army" would work better.
I'm fine with either one though.

I agree with Tap. There should be logic in the translation.

Maybe "Army" is the nickname for the force?
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

Essentially, the "army" was known as , which was translated as "The Army" by Sharramon.
It was also introduced as アインクラッド解放, which was translated as "Aincrad Liberation Army".
This was perfectly accurate and reasonable.

However, in the new part of Morning Dew Girl, the acronym for its name was given as ALF, which is probably "Aincrad Liberation Force".
The question is if all instances of "Army" should be changed to "Force" or something similar to that, since the "軍" (army/force) is part of "アインクラッド解放軍" (Aincrad Liberation Force).

I'd suggest use the full name ALF=Aincrad Liberation Force and the nickname "Army".

I suggest we simply replace Army by Force...except in non-related situation with ALF.

i think ALF stands for "Aincrad Liberation Front"
'I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to Death.
Nor known to Life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So, as I pray – “Unlimited Blade Works”.

lol i thought you know the official name but if it's just an opinion then i think Force is much more fitter...Front just somehow remind me of air force lol
and i don't think we should replace <Army> with <Force>....it's too awkward, leave it be.

volume 1, chapter 1:
As soon as the lizardman recovered from the brief stun-state.....
The sky-blue rhombus drawn by my four consecutive hits flashed then scattered. A horizontal consecutive 4 hit skill, «Horizontal Square».
Volume1, chapter 9:
We were currently in the middle of a fight, and the enemy was a skeletal swordsman named «Demonic Servant».....
With this strange cry, the skeleton swung his sword several times leaving a blue line of light in its wake. It was a four-hit combo skill: «Vertical Square».
later in the same chapter:
The «Vertical Square» that I used to hit the enemy all four times reduced a lot of its HP.

Are Horizontal Square and Vertical Square two different skills or are they the same?
