Ah damn, sorry 'bout that. Read the previous post the other way around and thought that Aiko-may/yuuki-sept while focusing with the word "twins".

Did you tell him that you are his most dedicated fan, and that you've got all 12 AW books?

...Well now.

I guess that settles things.
Though wouldn't Serlut be more accurate?

Honestly, I'm pretty sure he knows about us.

Lucky you... now it will be suspicious to ask something like that again.

You think he is feeding us false info on purpose? :)
But yeah I agree that we probably shouldn't keep asking him questions like this.

They were twins in the web version too, apparently.
Also, if you notice, in the interview, she said she was born in July.
So Kunori either messed up, or Yuuki was misled somehow...
Thanks :)

Why not do something like PR did and ask him if he is fine with BT doing translations of his work so a wider audience can appreciate it. I mean PR got the approval of Yu Wo for translating HP and LSK.

You can always try... Here's what I think is the main problem: The JP LN industry doesn't work the same way. Yu Wo probably has no interest in selling rights to people who want to translate(since the population of those who can read CN is... huge enough. When more than half of the world speaks that language, there seems to be little need to sell rights to less than the other half.). The Japanese DO have that interest.

Though you'd better NOT mention BT, in case he doesn't give it. We might be in hot soup......

Even if we round the number of people who can read Chinese up to 2 billion, that's nowhere near "more than half" of 7 billion. ;)
It's still a pretty good point, though. China is the biggest single market. There's diminishing returns when translating a work from Chinese to Other, unless it's something that's not very popular in China but would be hugely popular to Other.

Japan, on the other hand... even things that are hugely popular in Japan can sometimes make more money selling to English and Chinese speakers than they make in Japan. If/when the Sword Art Online and Accel World anime get licensed for the US, it's entirely possible that the novels might also get licensed. And then the Cease and Desist demands get mailed out...

And then I will be sad cause I would have to wait ages for the lns to catch up to what BT already has and then there is the possibility of the SnS problem happening of the ln translations getting stopped after only a couple volumes.

You might want to check the page of each project you're interested in, and/or their threads here in the forum. Some have pdfs/ebooks you can download.

I feel lucky I found this site years and years ago; some of the Haruhi stuff that was here back then still isn't officially out in English yet.

Nah, we'll be fine...just don't ask him again. To be honest, it was just a random thought that popped into my head, didn't think someone would actually do it (thanks MAD!), moreover Kawahara-sensei surprisingly replied it :D

On a side note, we're going to use "Serlet" right? (I'm still surprised seruruto can be read that way  )

No I don't think so, you see Tap also doesn't agree with Serlet. Alicization is unlikely to be made into anime anytime soon, so it's better to stick with what we think is more suitable.
