Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
Google and Wikipedia doesn't yield anything for 'Triplex'...makes me wonder, he gives Nega Nebulas 'Four Elements,' Great Wall has the 'Six Layers of Armour,' but Prominence is 'Triplex.'
I wonder if there's a better name than that.

Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
The kanji would be something like Three Beast Warriors, Three Bestial Warriors, Feral, etc.
トリプレックス is Triplex.
It's in dictionaries.
Great Wall's just "Six Armor" for the furigana too (yeah, no "s" to signify plural there.).

Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
A certain user on the wiki, Retard Magnet, believes that 激光 should be translated as 'Tempestuous Light', instead of 'Laser'.
Notably, 激光 in Chinese also translates as 'laser', although the transliteration 镭射 (léi shè) is also a possible word for 'laser.'
Any comments on this?

It would likely be more accurate as tempestuous light or something to the tune of that.
As he mentioned here, it's a compound not found in Japanese dictionaries, so something awkward would be more accurate than "laser".
He even noted that it meant laser in Chinese there.

Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
There's an Akihabara reference in V11.4, as expected of a Light novel...
Is there a particular district, or street selling electronic goods specifically? What's the name of that street, if any? Currently I'm leaving it as 'E-shopping' district.

Are you talking about the 電気街 (denkigai) mentioned in approximately the fifth sentence of 11.4? Those are shopping districts where mainly electronics are sold; one such place is in Akihabara. I don't think it refers to a specific street. E-shopping district sounds good. The one in Akihabara can be referred to as 秋葉原電気街 (Akihabara-denkigai).
I'm a bit confused myself as to whether all of Akihabara is a denkigai or not; my impression is that nearly all of it is, but somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah, so that's how it is.
I have absolutely no idea what Akihabara is like either, so my impression of it may well be copied-and-pasted from OreImo; a large shopping district serving as the #1 place to get doujinshi and all-other anime- and manga-related merchandise.

Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
The last time we discussed the ranking of enemies, it was only to resolve 四神 as 'Divine Beasts,' so what's the ranking for the rest then? I'm confused by some places using five ranks of Enemies, and others using four.
So far, I've been using this ranking, and even then it's only based off earlier translations; I've forgot what was the original kanji for them:
From weakest to strongest:
-Small Beast
-Wild Beast
-Legendary
-Divine Beast (retconned from 'Four Gods')
It would also be a good opportunity to update the wiki's Format, Style, Names, and Terms page to set the record straight too.

Going by how they're pronounced in furigana they can be listed as such:
The four Sacred Beasts are beyond this list
- Lesser
Wild
Beast
Legend
The four Sacred Beasts are beyond this list

Do you have the kanji for those too?

Re: Accel World: Format, Style, Names & Terminology
I've got another question here...
How would 常時発動型 (jouji hatsudougata) translate to? This part of the chapter is explaining the difference between Passive and Active Skills.
