Highschool DxD Anime Discussion

So far my thoughts on DxD are that it's been really fun to watch so far and the plot seems quite good and the background is great. The characters are really fun to watch. Issei is the most blatantly perverted anime character I've seen, Rias is pretty and cool and Koneko is awesome in the few moments she gets.

To start off, there's one thing I'm dying to know from the next episode preview in 7.

Also how different is the anime from the light novel and manga?

I took a quick look at some screenshots and I don't remember sports or a little purple dragon thing in the novel

They'll probably finally begin with volume 2 next week

I originally dropped this series after one episode, but I decided to watch a bit more after a slow day and lots of boredom. I have since come to find this series has more plot to it than it originally lets on. However, if Issei would stop being such a pervert, and the series got away from the fan service, I think that this series would be ten times better. In other words, I would like to see Issei being more awesome and less of a pervert.

It probably won't become as you wish. I have a hard time imagining that. DxD without fan-service is like Infinite Stratos without the harem element.

I am just glad that they are finally getting back to volume 2 of this starting this week's episode.

One person in particular I want to see in this anime is Sirzech's.

All we can do is wait and see but I doubt they will not show Sirzech especially when it gets near the end.

All in all... the anime is going pretty much exactly the way I expected. That is, the first two Light Novels, and I'm not really expecting them to do anything past that. Sirzechs is pretty cool in general, though, so I hope he gets enough time onscreen to do something interesting.

Points for using his supernatural abilities as a practical way to realize his dreams, though. o wo I mean, at least he's USING his special powers. Too many characters don't. XD;
