Incest and lolis in anime aren't quite new though.

New or not, it is still huge turn-off for a lot of people.

Usually, the anime tones down/dumbs down the fanservice by a huge factor to make sure that the sponsors in Japan do not flip out and allow for it to air on the few channels that exist natively in Japan. Some stations will show series with fanservice without any censoring, but it generally depends on what time of day it airs, how gratuitous the fanservice is (i.e., frequency, how suggestive, etc.), and what the legal agreements are between studios and companies. Obviously, you cannot have your animators starve any more than they currently are because you botched the legal agreements with your sponsors.

Tohka, with Season 1 it covered the first two books and some of the short storys, (Excluding episode 7, which in the light novels and manga took place after the raiser rating game, Sona Saji intro.) So i can assume that we will have the anime season based off of two of the novels per. Hopefully, that means that we will have About 7 or more seasons using the amount of novels we have now. It will probably be season three we see koneko romance. Until then, let us live with the hate punching she provides. But hey there is a chance!

I read somewhere that DxD season 2 will cover the novel from volume 3 to volume 7. not really sure though

Unless it's 2-cour that would be a Campione! level fail. Plus they would have no excuse too, at least with Campione! it had to end at v3 or v5, DxD could easily end at v6 with no-one the wiser.

i think the season story cover are base on the story arc so it means season 2 is from volume 3 to volume 6?

high school DXD new / season 2 episode 1-6 feature vol. 03 of the light novel.. even with 6 episode for 1 volume there's still a part that getting cut.. wll at least its much better than campione that compile volume 3 into 1 episode

Campione's anime was nothing interesting, High School DxD respect much more the novel, and even if I think it could be better, it's very good compared with Campione.
