I assume Editing is a way you could help, however, it seems they have enough on that section. 5 I guess... Other than that, you could get the novels, but I think they already got that. So in other words, I don't think you can. The best thing you can do is learn the language. BTW, Kanji is one part. The basics are Kana. By reading, does that mean you can talk/write? That's what you are implying, though I think I already have the answer for that.

i can talk japanese a little bit but i can't write it altough i can't make sentences i can understand words and make a sentence out of it that makes sense

Um... You didn't mention reading. But I assume your level of writing is on par with your reading. Like I mentioned earlier, just practice Japanese so you could help them in the future, or help them in editing. It doesn't necessarily need to be this project, or it can, it's up to you (And them... Somewhat). Whatever you decide. Hope you'll find your answer.

Actually, Hikari said that she'd do volume 8. Didn't figure if it's the rest of volume or the rest of the chapter, though.

That was before it became such that I can't translate anything at all. Anybody is free to work on anything that I might have said I'd translate. (In other words, I don't exist on the registration page.)
