I was looking around at the local bookstore when I saw this placed at the new titles. one look at it and I somehow remembered Shakugan no Shana :D
I checked the review, decided to give it a try, then bought the light novel. It was nothing like Shana though; But it was great in its own way. Then volume two came, which was amazingly good^^ Then the ending of volume two was a real cliff-hanger.

The series is only up to volume 2 at the moment so I think that translation could catch up to the latest volume, if ever it was decided to be TLed. Here's the brief plot explanation, as well as a teaser TL of the prologue that I've done. It's my first time TLing for light novel so I might lack the polish that veterans have, as well for my vocabulary. Well, you could just forgive me for the shortcoming, if I might ask for it.^^

Tokyo Butei High school--- It was a special school where armed detectives, also known as "Butei" are being brought up. Tohyama Kinji is a sophomore student who has the unique body which activates a "super mode" when it was stimulated by "something". He tries to hide it to others in order to live a peaceful life. But trouble came to find him when he became a victim of a bombing incident, where he met the Butei high "Assault" department elite, Aria H. Kanzaki

----Who would ever think that a girl would fall from sky?

In the movie that I saw last night, A girl fell from sky.
Maybe it was a good idea if it was a movie or a manga.
It would be a prologue where mysterious and special things are bound to happen.
The lead character could be an ally of Justice, and a great adventure would unfold.

Yeah, so first, there should be a girl who'd fall from sky!
...I'd say those kind of thoughts are nothing but frivolous.
There's no way a girl like that could be normal.
You'd be taken to a strange world and you'd be made out as an ally of justice.
If you think about it, it would be filled with danger and nothing but trouble.

So at least for me, Tohyama Kinji----
I'd be glad if there won't be any girl falling from sky.
I just want to have a ordinary life, just like people normally do.
That said, I'd have to move away from this ridiculous school as soon as possible...

....ding dong.....

I opened my eyes as I heard the faint sound of door bell.

----I'm definitely late for the bus passing at 7:58.

---------For life.
I would definitely regret missing that bus passing at 7:58 for life.

Because sometimes later, a girl would come falling from sky.
And that girl's name was Aria H. Kanzaki.
I hope it would be approved.

PS A friend taught me how to create a poll and so I did. I'm embarssed at my ignorance.

the summary sounds interesting....

but to tell you the truth....the prologue didnt really do it for me...

im hoping the author is making some sort of joke assigning Shirayuki with every single cliche possible...

....hmmmm....but if they killed her off early in the book....the would make this pretty good

btw...what sorta genre is this? im guessing its gotta be some ecchi comedy/action/mystery.... i just hope the romance part of it is decent

right now...im sorta iffy...i would have to read more of it....

but so long as the first chapter dosnt confirm my fears of what this novel might turn out to be...i give a "thumbs up"

o yeah...and the whole "finding a translator" part is required too :P

hmmmm and here I thought that Shirayuki was a walking Cliche.

The Genre is action/love-comedy. Romance part is good too, if you ask me^^ Aria is a Tsundere character but she displays more "dere" than most Tsundere heroines. And she'd already been kissed by Kinji. 8) Shirayuki is another heroine, the so-called "Armed-shrine maiden". Oh, she's a Yandere, by the way. And she's also been kissed by Kinji too. :D

It's got some supernatural to it since there are some ESP users, which are called the demon art/demonic art. There are also some interesting plot twists too like the heroines (and the villains) being a descendant of a very popular historical figures. (fiction and non-fiction)

I suppose its the type which you gradually enjoy as you turn away the pages.

Hmmm as for the Translator part, I'd be glad to help out if you don't mind a newbie.^^

I've done some TL on chapter one.
1st Ammo: La bambina da l'ARIA =A girl fell from the sky= (part 1)

Was it Arthur Rimbaud who said that "should a rain fall, you should enjoy the down pour"?

As the blast sent the paraglider flying away, it was caught by a branch of the cherry tree and we were thrown inside the sports complex storage.
I heard crashing sound as we collided with unknown things inside the storage and....
My mind fell unconcious for a moment.
TLing light novel was way harder than I thought x_x

I'M INTERESTED

Give me some time to scour for the RAWs - if the story (... or Shirayuki, at least) interests me, I won't mind helping out.

Let me know when Chapter 1 is done too, so I can create a page for it on the wiki, and have Oni update your status to translator.

Thank you very much, HolyCow! :D Having an experienced translator for the project will greatly help^^
Shirayuki is a very interesting character, Especially in volume 2 8)

anyway, here's the last part of chapter 1. :P
1st Ammo: la bambina da l'ARIA (part 3)

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gun-fire roared wildly above him. After few moments, Aria's gun was replete with ammo so she lowered her body inside the jump box to reload.

"You coward! I'll make a big wind hole on you next time!"

That was the worst ever meeting that there is, covered with soot and dirt. It was how I, Tohyama Kinji, and the girl who'd be feared later as the "Scarlet Ammo",
Kanzaki H. Aria's first encounter.

Made little edits to the project page. By the way, you've created 2 wrong pages for Volume 1 Chapter 1 right? I'll delete the other two then.

Happy translating. All the best. :D
