I have same username for the wiki.

so we use this thread to discuss things related to translation too, right?
I was kinda thinking that "istana" is more commonly used than "kastil", though this might just because of local language preferences.

And any specific guidelines, like in terminology, style of writing, etc?

I have updated the main page, by the way, do you want to be a translator? or a editor? or maybe both?
About 'istana',.... hmm, not offense, it's just me but i didn't like the sound very much. :?

About the names of skills and item, such as equipment, and the name of monster, i think it's better to use the english version, even tought i'm not too sure about the boar.

And one more, if you want to translate, what chapter do you want to translate?

I want to be both, though mostly focusing on translating first.

well it's fine about 'istana' it's just matter of preferences after all.
though, I get the urge to edit the synopsis, not the part of 'istana', part of the synopsis still read strange to me.
I might edit it someday and if it's to your dislike you can just undo it right?

I will take volume 3 starting from the prologue. Rather than clashing at volume 1 later on.

about the word Castle, i think it better to use 'kastil'
for Palace i will use 'istana'

btw, if you want to translate vol 1, you can start from chapter 4, because i mostly translating utsuro no hako now.
it's just that i have much free time so i translate Chapter 2 and 3.

about the synopsis, i find it to be strange too...
you can edit it if you like

about honorific and word like onii-chan and okaa-san, you don't need to translate them, just make a translator note for them.

One more thing.

Before translating something, please register your name at registration page and check first if there is any other translator translating the chapter you want to do, to avoid clashing with another translator.

Dang... I was trying to translate Volume 2 Prologue and... one thing I know for sure, translating light novel is different with translating manga

I've done with the translation of Volume 2 Prologue but I'm not sure what's the indonesian of the "craftsman class", I translate it as "kelas pengrajin", kind of weird... Do you want me to put it in right away or someone wants to edit/proofread it? And sorry for suddenly come and translate any chapter like this without any notice before

Ah, I really want to help you guys, but I use most of my free time for scanlation world (manga), so is that okay if I help translating from time to time when I have free time? I'll make sure to register my name first though...

EDIT1 - I've put my name on the registration page for Volume 2 Prologue and Volume 1 Author's Note (in progress).
