Agreed, the battles without him should (animation- and action-wise) be at least as interesting as the ones where he takes part. If they're able to make the magics differ from each other and make them look cool, they might be able to salvage this series.

I already gave up all hope for any deep development of secondary characters.

Now I got interested in one thing, are the lines of the characters different because of creativity of translators of LN, or is the anime so much more concise? I kind of miss a lot of funny lines in the last episode too, but some that were supposed to be funny were completely normal in the anime.

A bit off-topic, but I listened to the full version of Rising Hope just recently, and it surprised me how different the second verse was sung and the overall ambiance of the music seemed compared to the shortened version for the anime. I liked most aspects of it (kinda upbeat-ish with lots of just rocking hard. Makes me want to smash my air guitar every time I hear it ), but I still am not quite getting why there are a lot of English words. Maybe it's a fad in these kinds of songs right now I think?

That's episode 7, should be good since is the first time he gets a bit real. I really wonder what kind of searches you folks are doing to find all these things since I consider myself involved and none of this comes on my radar until I see it here.

Also asian culture has been using english words for a fairly long time now, nothing new.

That's an extra after scene with Masaki. WTF! kinda training does Ichijou do at school that leaves him and an entire gymnasium covered in blood red patches of liquid? Did they really need to emphasize his title like that so early?

His name is Crimson prince because he has this special ability that causes the blood to boil? and ends up exploding in a flower? spatter pattern. He was probably training on dummies or something hence all the blood spatter

They probably emphasize it now, so that it can be explained later in the competition, since we won't actually get to see it used in the competition

Yeah, but you know, if he was just training there is no need for blood. All he would have to use would be water. Anyway, he propably massacred some of his schoolmates and the others are so shocked in Yokohama Disturbance arc because they finally get to know where theyir schoolmates were getting lost to .

Well it seems they are trying to emphasize his strength, but I am getting a bad feeling out of this, it seems the main point of the competition will rest with Moonlith Code, which is rather a sad thing, as for me that was one of the worse parts. The best was Tatsuya´s shining as a technician.
