Not sure if it was maybe a translation error (translator didn't read the LN) but instead of I don't get mad I think I can't/unable to get mad would've conveyed it better. I can't understand Japanese so maybe they said can't in Japanese, or maybe the translator thought it meant don't since s/he may not know the context

Ah I see, because when I was watching the anime (perhaps different translators) the subtitles said I don't get mad at mom which doesn't exactly convey that he can't get mad

After that comment of not getting mad at mother Tatsuya expressed his thoughts, as stated by Zuruumi above, just when the door closed.

Well I am not sure whether it was stated like this in the subs, I often find myself ignoring the subs and just listening to them, though I think I read this part there.

imo him not going into full details there was fine, we'll know later on in any case.

They seem to be dedicating very little time for many scenes though, I wonder what effect that will have for the nonreaders ( felt the way specially for this last release, rest not as much even if we can tell they are rushing through the story )

One think is certain from the episodes till now. Non-readers sure will have difficulties to understand

Yeah, well this studio does this quite often though. Well as long as we take this to be aimed at the readers (as the fan base of this LN is quite large in Japan) it is quite a good piece of work.

the rankings for the top spring anime shows Mahouka at the top http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2014/06/0 ... 014-anime/. The comments for the most part do not like it with either it's boring the Tatsuya is too op or it's a right wing

Doki is quite same with the Light Novel. They usually release Mahouka on Tuesday
