As CJAKAI I believe there are confusions between Dispersion type and Release magics in the translations, during the experiment in volume 12 as here for example.
Both Gamma Ray Filter and Neutron Barrier were classified as Dispersal-Type Magic. Dispersal-Type Magic was defined as magic that interfered with the movement and interaction of elementary and composite particles. Magic that manipulated gamma rays was categorized as Dispersal-Type Magic because the magic interfered with light particles, but on some level this was a later classification. These two magics were originally developed to neutralize the danger of nuclear fission weapons and the two of them were researched together in most situations. For ease of research, Gamma Ray Filter and Neutron Barrier were both categorized together.
While rereading I found it confusing as well.

1)
Mahesvara wrote:In chapter one of Volume 14 part three there is a line that says
And yet answered on his own without asking her sister for help
That's Fumiya answering, without seeking Ayako's help, to Tatsuya's inquiry if Fumiya knew the letter's contents.

2)
Volume 14 chapter 1: As he waited for the water to recede, Tatsuya used emission-type magic to shake off the moisture from his hair, skin, and clothes.

I don't know Japanese but shouldn't it be dispersion type magic?
As I understood at that time he used such magic to forcibly emit moisture from a source (i.e. his own body), but it's just me ...

I think what Mahesvara was asking about is, should the sentence be
And yet answered on his own without asking his sister for help
instead of
And yet answered on his own without asking her sister for help

Because by referring to Ayako, we are reading it as Fumiya's sister (i.e. his sister)

A lot of stuff I think. Everytime I randomly do some TLC, there are plenty of errors to be fixed. Well I don't expect everything to be caught, but there are clearly some sentences that don't make sense or don't agree with the context (wrong pronouns/subjects/actors are the biggest offenders as far as I can remember) and I'm quite surprised that editors didn't even catch them since they don't even make sense in English at times.

In terms of editing small spellings/grammar here and there that we may happen to see while reading, are we able to just edit it in the wiki? Or do we need permission as an editor?

As a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil, maybe his correct name is Miguel Dias, not Diaz, the former is much more common in Brazil than the latter, the latter being usually from people with Spanish lineage, the pronunciation being the same for both cases in Portuguese.

Is chapter 3 done or not? I'm asking cuz I'm confused by the "(6/?)" beside it on the main page - just making sure.

Can you please help me with this sentence?

> 発動に失敗してしまうような魔法
> Magic that end up failing upon invocation/activation
(V14, p. 186, line 2)

If the meaning of this sentence is right, what kind of Magic have you seen along the series that fails upon invocation/activation?

Thanks.

Kobayakawa's magic during the 9SC when Shiba siblings were first years failed to activate in her Mirage Bat competition.
