Tatsuya is probably as powerfull as Lelouch Geass + Damocles in their own World.
they are both too Overpowered.

i hope he lose his power or die like lelouch.
if he doesn't lose his power, he can't live like normal people.

Lose his power? lol his was born with the ability to use "Decomposition" and "Regowth" (wich are the main MF magic of his). Losing his artificial magic calculation area would only remove his ability to wield normal magic and "Flash Cast". In the end he would stiil be Overpowered.

Finally someone who understand something, people here were saying about him retrieving his emotions and losing his magic when he already had that magic before losing his emotions.
Although I prefer Tatsuya x Mayumi, i wont mind if he stays with another girl(Honoka,Lina or Myuki etc) as long as the relationship with the girl develops in a way that I like.

In volume 9,the americans were talking about the change in the brain structure of the traitors,so a magician with a magic which alters the mind’s structure like Tatsuya`s mother might be behind the american traitors.If there is a magician like that,it might be possible for him/her to turn Tatsuya`s brain back to normal making him retrieve his emotions.
And just to remind it,Tatsuya wont lose his "Decomposition" and "Regrowth" if that happens because he was born with them,he will only lose his ability to cast other types of magic.

I don`t like incest but also don`t hate it,I`m indifferent about it. What I care most in the anime couples is the way the love develops,how they are going to fall in love,the events that made that happen,the thoughts of each of them has during the process.

Well, it has been about half a year since I read the first 7 volumes (which are the only ones I have read, so please forgive my lack of knowledge for recent events), so I am sorry if I sound like an idiot.

That being said, I am confused on how a Tatsuya x Mayumi ending is considered to be impossible by a few people in the topic. I thought that throughout the series, the author has been hinting towards this ending more than any other.

To start off, I believe they claimed at some point that Mayumi's family wanted her to marry someone from the 10 families, preferably from the First family. Tatusya is, I think, supposed to be a part of this family (again, I have not read volume 8 yet), which can serve as the first hint for their hook up.

Secondly, the way Mayumi treats Tatsuya, I find, is different than how everyone else treats him. I started thinking this when Tatsuya and Miyuki walked Mayumi home. Judging from everyone's reactions towards him, it can be inferred that everyone views him as an adult. However, Mayumi commented on how childlike (at least I think that is what she said) he was during the walk, which shows how differently she views him than anyone else.

Also, besides Miyuki, Mayumi was the first character we saw Tatsuya interact with in the series. Miyuki, in my eyes, just had a standard, brother-crush introduction that I have seen before. Mayumi's introduction just screams "main heroine" for me. She viewed the Weeds situation differently, was introduced very early, and had a memorable entrance.

For those of you who think he will not choose anyone because hasn't shown any attraction or signs of gaining his emotions back, I seem to recall reading a post about how there are supposed to be at least 20 volumes for this series (please don't ask my to prove this because I doubt I could find it again). That is plenty of time for him to begin developing these sorts of feelings. Personally, I think the longer they put it off, the better. I prefer when romance is taken nice and slow, with the eventual hook up happening at the verrrrrryyyyyy end.

Well, I guess my post ended up become more of a rant than anything else, and lengthy at that. I understand that everyone has different opinions. I also don't think a Mayumi ending is 100% by any means. However, what I don't understand is where the justification for a 0% chance for him to fall in love with anyone else other than his sister, or choosing a path other than her guardian comes from.
