Another one that I found someway in the past long ago. Somehow. After reading the intro and the translated portion, I went and read/watch some of the manga/anime (I think the MC has same seiyuu as Issei from DxD haha) to get a further feel for it. It's ok so far. If it comes to be as good as MM!, then I'm all for it. I'm on the fence between saying "do more" and "it was interesting", although that might change in the near future (maybe within the next 23 weeks).

Its not as good as MM! (novel). But it has a darker and more emotional feel to it. In some sense you can get a more realistic feel to it.

In simpler words, this is a story about a genius being a normal person, as well as a normal person trying to become a genius, and the gaps inbetween.
Spoiler! :
The female lead cannot do anything without the protagonist, yet whatever she does, she does so exceptionally.

The protagonist feels inferior, and that he cannot match up with her, and is jealous, and hates her for her gift.

Similarly, the guy living in the hostel(except he lives with other females) is just the same, as he so loves the 'alien'. Despite knowing the feelings that the 'alien' hold towards him, he felt deeply in pain, as he came to know that his capabilities are actually withholding her back. Furthermore, his deep love for her forbids him to do anything that may hurt, harm or taint her(this includes *a-hem*) thus he releases his negative emotions by avoiding her, while spending time with other females.

The protagonist tries hard to try to achieve something, so he would not feel as inferior, but just as a regular guy, it was really difficult for him to try, but he keeps trying, and failing...

Ah, then I've had a completely deceiving first impression for quite some time.
Spoiler! :
I thought that it would be another LN with a purely romantic comedy feel to it (MM!, Ladies vs Butlers, and stories similar to them). When you mentioned it being dark, that kind of surprised me. At first your description of the womanizer also confused me since you said that he and the girl had feelings for each other (the manga so far hasn't depicted this, and I haven't seen the second episode which came out/was subbed today). The female senpai seems like your average air head (not good or bad for me). With this ending in 2 volumes, I might as well give it a read.

I would be able to read this, hooked, depending on what specifically happens in the plot. If it does hook me, then I'd be glad to take part in it as an editor. Thanks for the overview Shadow.

I'm really liking everything I've heard so far. XD This definitely seems like the sort of series that would be worth the time and effort necessary.

...I guess I've had a soft spot for this sort of story ever since I found out about Katawa Shoujo a few years back?

While I had enough examples as to not base my hope for a LN from what I've seen in an anime (or vice versa), I have to say that Sakurasou was a pleasant surprise so far. I'd really like to read the LN if anyone is up for the job.

And ShadowZero... You mention that
Spoiler! :
"The protagonist feels inferior, and that he cannot match up with her, and is jealous, and hates her for her gift."
- But I haven't seen any of the "hate" indicated in the anime yet. Will it proceed later on to be darker or did they tone it down in the adaption?

Is it possible that you would start translating this novel.I have watched few first episodes of anime but there are always some changes from the orginal novel moreover there is always a possibility that they will try to put few volumes of it into usual 12-13 episodes which would be terrible. Sorry

First: you need to add a picture of the novel series.
Second: a synopsis of what it's about. You can quote mangaupdates or another website or blog.
Third: Baka-Tsuki policy for opening threads in the future project suggestions forum.

(Some people may not have even heard about it until you mentioned it. So add a picture and synopsis if you want others to look at the novel series.)

After reading the prologue and part of chapter one, I'm quite liking the story and characters (as shown by not-so-subtle username). I would expect this to get increasingly more coverage since the anime adaptation just started, and so it'd be nice if the novels were translated too.

I'd be glad to edit this if (hopefully when) it becomes a full-fledged project!
