I suggest Alice or Ellis Calling instead for this name.

Well, the I is spoken E as in creepy, so Alice or Ellis wouldn't work, I'd say.

Iris is a name.

Question. What will the standard naming used for 展開装甲 be? A suggestion so far is fold-out armor, although literally translated it means more like unfolded-armor. I'll use fold-out armor for now, but what do the other translator think?

how about "expanded armor"? when it "folds up", you can use the word "collapse"?

That would works too. This is actually just a standard naming issue, that's why I'm asking fellow translator and readers which naming sounds better when used lol

How is that word used? As a specific noun, or those one-liners usually seen in shounen action flicks as names of cool techniques?

it's a technology name used for the 4th generation IS, so I guess closer to one-liners?

Well, I always go by the wikia, since I'm not too much of a fan of this series and don't really go that in-depth into the story.

Well, in that case, I would normally try to retain the 'technical jargon' of the word, to make it sound cool in English as well. Having an official English name thought out by authors would save a lot of time, but if there's none, then I guess it's up to the translator or the editor to polish it.
What does it do? How is that armor deployed? You might want to think of a name after thinking on these various aspects. Since there's not much context here, I'd use "Expandable Armor", though that doesn't sound too impressive yet, imho.

Should we take off some refs? Because honestly, linking everything to a wikia is kinda...
