Well, Toradora isn't officially finished (if you consider the spin-offs). And since some people tend to compare the 2 works, it's a good occasion.

It my not be finished in that regard, but when was the latest update on it?
Are there a lot of comparisons by readers, enough so it just isnt once in a blue moon? Just so it won't be a combined subforum in name only and all content is strictly Golden Time.

Well, it's true that the project is quite old, but the fact that the 2 projects are written from the same author remains.

Anyway, if the majority agrees, it doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Not that I'm against the idea in it self if it has an inkling of reason behind it. Just looking at the old Toradora forum it would need so much cleaning you might just skip moving anything to begin with. Thread necroing is such a pain in the arse for thoes having to deal with it.

Hmmmm - I'am rather for necros instead of countless threads with the same theme... but thats my preference...

Btw. I would be for a Toradora / Golden Time merge if that would get Toradora out of the Completed subforum, though Toradora isnt that small, that it would need a merge...

Are the Kamachi-verse novels connected, beside that they have the same author?

I made a little list of our most popular Aux.-titles

With that I think Mondaji-tachi... with 4 translators and for a new project this many pages and views could besides Golden Time and DaL also be a Candidate

Btw. should we think about a own subforum for the caught up projects?

The Kamachi series subforum idea isn't bad, as long the sub-forum name isn't "Kamachi series" (newcomers, y'know)

Golden Time+Toradora would seem weird to me. Considering that no one really visits completed series sub-forums, it'd be basically a Golden Time+ one.

Personally, I think that DaL and GT both could have one. Off-topic, but what I would like to see is something like:
Spoiler! :
-ZnT (May be stalled though iirc)
-Shana+KnS
-Index+others
-CSR
-SAO+AW (to be moved anyway, sooner or later, to the abandoned projects)
-Daiden+Itsuten
-DxD
-Campione
-Mahouka
-GT/DAL or GT+DAL

Darklor, wouldnt 'caught up' be a temporary status though? To stick "true" to a subforum like that threads would needed to be moved around on regular basis as new novels get released and translation work starts again.

Generally if you did some restructuring on the entier forum, the board index mostly though, you could accommodate pretty much all the sought after subforums atm.

Your stat on Blade Dance is incorrect. The number of translator is currently 1, zzhk.

I don't see the point in creating a new sub-forum given we've just resurrected a stalled one to replace the abandoned Aria. I presume SAO/AW is going to be abandoned early next year when the official translations are released, so we can worry about a new forum to replace it then. I don't see any problems with the DaL or Golden Time threads with conversations 'talking over each other' necessitating new threads at the moment.

I also don't see the point in tossing all a single author's series into the same forum. Someone who likes one of the author's works, isn't necessarily going to like another (for example out of "Index, Heavy Object, Survey, Zashiki", I only really follow Heavy Object even if I build PDFs for, I think most of them); and there really isn't enough conversation happening in a lot of the threads. Plus all that's going to happen is the 'minor' series are going to get lost in the middle of the other threads, it's best they're left in Aux where they can actually be discovered easily.

In addition, merging a dead forum because it's translation has finished with a currently-live thread is the worst of both worlds; you have the old stuff that no-one's paying attention to cluttering up the forum, and people necroing old threads.

Also there really doesn't seem to be any use for merging ZnT and Shana. The Shana forum is pretty dead, and the ZnT one is also on it's last legs. Shana is marked as Stalled so I don't see a reason not to move it into the 'Stalled' forum, and maybe just move ZnT into there as well since translations have slowed to a crawl on that as much as the conversation in the forum has. *shrug*

By the looks of things, I'm apparently feeling pretty ruthless tonight. >.>

Ah, its seems I missed that part that states inactive...

-------------

The thing with the 'caught up'-projects is that they would be also good candidates for a own subforum werent it for lack of activity at the moment, because of the caught up status...

I'm mildly confused. Are you talking about specific series that are caught up being candidates or a larger subforum for all caught up projects?

Hm, hard to explain...

I was just thinking, that the "caught up" project should get a place on the front - I mean wouldnt that be good "publicity" that those project which are currently up to date are also seen up front? - Maybe as tripple sub... so that the three together would be a option for the voting...

Well if you modelled it after the Aux Brigade you could put all the caught up projects there.
But having 3 series under the same subforum feels like it could get overly messy rather quickly, if they are all actively talked about.

So some of you think there's no need for another sub-forum. And actually, I think you are right about it.

Just replacing the forum that gone is enough, I think that it's okay like this... :)
