This thread being alive for a week already and me just finding it, I made this in a hurry. I think it needs watermark, but honestly, they all look so in uniform with each other on the active board, that I don't know how to copy those exact details.

I'm slightly surprised Yoshino+Yoshinon wasn't the first thumbnail posted. O.o

But IMO it really should be Tohka or Origami, or Tohka and Origami since they seem to end up being the centerpieces of the novels that they're not even the focus of.

I had the same idea, to use the cover of each volume, and I wanted to do the same, but I have some problems with Photoshop recently...

Well... I think my favorite is the second one.

I prefere the third, fifth and sixth from Vaelis' post.

I guess, given the position, that the sixth could have colours which would stand out... Same holds for the fifth, but its dominant colour - orange - is already there with Zero no Tsukaima, but since that one is at the top, it'd be far away, so it doesn't really matter.

The one that Shadowsinner proposed would also stand out, given it's a pretty light violet.

That why I think it would be better to use Shidou, Tohka and/or Origami in this new thumbnail.

Is there a colour picture in one of the novels with Tokha and Origami on either side of Shidou struggling over him? If that could be minified well it would be a good option.

Oooh, that's not bad. (Yeah, the sign being a little more visible is good; was hard to see in first image.) Maybe use the darker part of Origami's steel-blue hair as the outline colour? The salmon-ish shade doesn't really match anything else in the scene, so it looks a little odd.
