Same here. I check the recent changes quite frequently. Having the ability to delete spam pages would alleviate the workload of the admins a bit.

wiki spammer: Deahbirt

for the regular translators, if you don't have the corresponding wiki rights yet, ask for it.

just ask Vaelis, since he logs in everyday. it's early morning in France now, I'm sure he'll be up in a few more hours. :) but i think you got to be a regular translator or editor.

We seem to have a more insidious kind of spammer out there now. It's been adding new sections to talk pages. As usual, it looks out of context, but not so obviously so as before.

Whoever/whatever it is, it's struck a half-dozen talk/discussion pages on the wiki part of the site in the past 24 hours or so, with the favorite target being the Main Page's discussion.

Would it be possible to remove the spammer entries permanently from the history of the talk pages?

Nice question. In any case, I've noticed these hacks are arriving from all over the world, which makes me think that somebody's passing something to the "script kiddies", and it's multiplying that way. A real Yuki writes a toy, gives it to the wannabes to play with, so to speak.

The only difference between a good computer programmer and a Yuki is their sense of ethics . . . and whether or not they have a real job.

.... Theres Black Hat Hackers, and White Hat Hackers...

The White Hats help you with security vulnerabilities, and Black Hats exploit.

So don't generalize all hackers.
