Well, not only the Wiki, the forums as well...

From here:
Assassin wrote:... As the topic title says.

I was lurking and pressed the "View New Posts" on the Index page and felt that Baka-Tsuki somehow seemed so lively, until I investigated further...

... Yeah, we're infested by them. It's only a matter of time before one gets into here too.

... I wish it was Ika-Musume instead.
Given my experience I'd say that all those postings are not done by people. It's automated, and we call it a SPAMBOT.

I know how to differentiate liveliness caused by man and another caused by machines though. And when I said "lively," I don't take you guys into consideration. Because I meant the latter...

Oh, you don't know how these things can hack through the anti-spam... Which is why captchas are now trying to get something they won't ever manage to break through, only to get that broken past again.

Sure, anti-spam can reduce their impact; but never to make them cease from attempting to generate a post nevertheless.

Spam will always get through. The best bet is to record their ip address and complain to their ISP, provided you can find it.

I suppose a moderator should be able to track the IP addresses?
