New Baka-Tsuki Android App: Development

I love the maintenance feature in the new version. Makes clean up of empty chapters much easier. However do you think you could add an ability to lock a chapter or something like that in the maintenance section? That way I can 'lock' certain empty chapter or volume so I can do mass removal of other empty chapters/volume without removing the ones I don't want removed such as Hidan no Aria and other novels that have been since removed from BakaTsuki and thus technically considered as empty chapter/novels?

Right now, I have something like 2,000-plus empty chapters, even after manually removing another close to 1,000. Mass-removal would make it much easier, but I don't want to remove those abandoned chapters by accident.

There is a filter for show/hide the downloaded chapter or everything else.

Unless you have missing chapter but not yet downloaded that you want to keep (why? you cannot read the content if it is not downloaded yet).

Oh, I see. So I just have to hide those downloaded chapters, then the clear all option will only remove the current displayed list? I was under impression that it would clear everything, hidden or not.

Always backup you DB First, the dialog box doesn't do that for you. (maybe I'll change the yes/no option).

I've been getting an error since I updated about a week or two ago that shows up whenever I try to download a chapter. It says "can't create unsecure trust manager", then sends me back to the page of the light novel I was trying to download from saying that the download was complete. Do you know what might be causing this?

Try to untick the use HTTPS from the settings. What is your android version?

could you guys install an option to change the background colour when reading? it seems to me that pure black is really make my eye sore, or blur after a while.. a lighter black or dark gray/gray perhaps?

p/s : this is such a great apps for me who don't have an internet connections at home.. thanks guys

You can use a white background.

i wanna ask
why now when download or update chapter manually in novel page it will become download screen
i mean the older version let me download multiple chapter without getting annoyed

or maybe you can add download selected chapter option in the update notof box

guys I have a problem t-t !!!!
I recently upgraded my LaG L7 for android version 4.4 kitkat (before that was version 4.2 jelly bean), and that the bakareader keeps crashing as I try to read a chapter and a bug that is happening for example the beginning of the chapter appeared in the middle of it and also the screen is bugged and texts move the diagonal and is a black space where the text should be (this only occurs when I try to read a chapter, other than that the program works perfectly, and other programs work perfectly also as example, skype, pou, chrome, astro, ..)
anyone have an idea what I can do to fix this??

The Polish and Indonesian novels do not load in the app yet the French ones load

And why is that?

I do not know when exactly this start to happen as I rarely check the alternative language feature
And when I checked the website I do find that the Indonesian and Polish ones have two subcategories but the French ones have four subcategories..
And the Indonesian and Polish ones do not have the Page in Category section aside from the two subcategories
But the French have it in addition to their four subcategories

Well, maybe that is not the problem here but I figure to just point it out just in case

Seems like you found the issue.
I also think that it's related to the way the program checks for the available series.

Misogi seems me to be right : it may be related to the way we parse the novels...
We've updated the french parser, but I don't know if the others language also got updated in order to parse correctly the novels.

We're still trying to look into this problem. I've updated the code to prevent 0 novel found in both language, but there's still a problem related to https://github.com/calvinaquino/LNReade ... issues/136 .
