Hi, may i ask if i backup my database on my sd card while my phone undergoes factory reset. Am i able to restore the database from my sd card after redownloading the app after the reset. I'm worried because i can no longer access To Aru Majutsu no Index anymore without my current database and was hoping i can work around the problem.

I downloaded the BakaReader EX app on to my smart phone, and I can't read any chapter besides prologues and author's notes. When I do try to read the chapters, it starts to download then stops and gives me a notice says "class java.io.IOException: Wrong version of key store". Can you help me out? I can't read anything the way the app is working as it is.

Yes, you can. Also, you need to backup the images too (Settings -> Storage -> Image Backup -> Backup Thumb Image, tick Process All Images if you want to backup the big images).

Make sure you have enough space on the SD Card, and take out the SD Card before doing factory reset.

Try to disable HTTPS (Settings -> Update & Notification -> on Network Section, untick Use HTTPS).

Hi, can I ask for help?

This is regarding Tate no Yuusha no Narigari.

When I try to download all chapters, it tells me that all the downloads are completed. However, when I open Loop 1 to 3 - Tutorial Arc, I see the first chapter being Chapter 410 - Start Over of The Spear Hero.

Is this supposed to happen? Cause I'm not sure if I missed out on some news if the LN isn't being hosted anymore.

If the novel/chapter is already deleted from Baka-Tsuki, then the behaviour cannot be determined (usually the updates will fail or it download wrong data).

Load issue's back. Takes sometime around 2 minutes for any list to load, even when I'm sure my list has been downloaded or otherwise. Page load is still relatively fine

Dunno if my problem was already posted by someone.

Had Bakareader in my Samsung Grand Duos 2 since it was on android 4.3 and it ran with no problems.
Later I upgraded to 4.4 Kitkat.
When I opened the app, those novels with images and database saved before the upgrade loaded fine.(img stored on sd card)
But when I try to download a new novel, it can't download images(cover image, novel illustrations, thumbs).
And when I refresh the contents of those novels that loaded fine and download contents, the same happen, it can't download images(cover image, novel illustrations, thumbs).
Tried to change some settings, change img save location to other location on sd card, and re-install the app but to no avail. But setting the img to be stored internally seems to be working.
Read something on the net that 4.4 Kitkat restricts writing/altering of data that was stored on the sd card.
Could anyone me help or tell the fix?
Images tend to consume a lot of space and I don't want to save consume internal memory and result to rooting my phone.
Thanks.

I think you need to save the images to

Code: Select all

/<ext-sdcard-path>/Android/data/com.erakk.lnreader/files
. I'm not too sure what is your external sdcard path for your device, usually either sdcard1 or sd-ext or sdcard-ext.

Or you can try to restore the write access from http://www.droidviews.com/restore-write ... -manually/ (try on your own risk!).

Hmm, which novel? Usually slow if the 1st time load due to DB need to be loaded, try to get the adb log? I don't think I change something.

Just the lists, All, Teaser, and Watched. Takes an abnormal amount of time. I'm wondering if you're preloading the lists when the app opens, might make it appear to come sooner

Note that:
1> the main purpose of this is to fix the parsing.
2> the rest of the "code" is actually in the storyboard file so the UI is already done.
Even though you can just create your own project and link an interface (xib) file with it.
3> im using Rapture XML with is also on gitHub. BUT i might change since its relativelly simple.
4> Done with Xcode 4.2
5> any questions just post here. i started this yesterday.

PS: im also checking the android version. i just set up the IDE and SDK on my home PC, so if anyone has a java code to read the LNs correctly =D
(as you can see, xmls are my weakness)
Hey there, sorry if there are errors in this message, I'm new here. Anyway, how can I read date a live [English] with the bakareader,

Is it always or only the first time loading the app? if it is only the 1st time, most likely due to the backup process still running (especially if the DB size is big)

Android version? Try refreshing the main novel list (tap the overflow menu/3 vertical dot --> Refresh.
