What device & Android version?

Are all three of you doing this over Wi-Fi? If so, could you try over cellular if able?

I am unable to view or download the Light novels using this app on my phone. (HTC M8 One). I can see the list of LN but are unable to read any of them. Every time I click on a LN I get this message;

class javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found.

Can someone help me.

Try one or both of the following:

1. Make sure you have the newest version of the app (it was updated within the last month or so)

2.
  • Navigate to: Settings -> Update and Notification, and under Network, uncheck the box that says Load App Keystore.
  • Close and reopen the app.

I too am having this same issue on an old Asus Transformer running 4.4.4. If I disable the 'Load App Keystore' setting, the error goes away but the app only seems to update novels and chapters it previously had data for. New novel and chapter data will not be downloaded. Hopefully this will help in tracking down the issue.

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab s3 it did it when I downloaded it on the device for the first time. It loaded the novel list, but not the individual series. It did the series after unchecking it.

I apologize for my late reply but, beyond reinstalling the app, I'm out of ideas.

Even with a clean install the problem persist, i've made an upgrade to a huawei P10 Lite with Android 7.0.
I've also tried a clean installation on my previous phone but it's a no go =(

I would like to change the image save location to my SD card (preferably also the DB save location, but I think it isn't possible atm).

What I did:
  • I changed "settings-> storage-> image save location" to "/storage/9C33-6BBD/BakaNovel/Image". 9C33-6BBD should be my SD card confirmed via various apps and errors stating that the path doesn't exit when other paths from the internet.

But when I set the location to my SD all the older images wouldn't load so I deleted them... but after that I would get an error after I click/touch any novel (error: class javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found.).
So I:
  • Navigate to: Settings -> Update and Notification, and under Network, uncheck the box that says Load App Keystore.
    Close and reopen the app

Even though I could see the title and description... but the cover and any image in the novel is missing. If recheck load app keystore I 'll get the same error again.

There isn't a single image when i open the path via the buildin explorer or third party explorer.

Hi.
I've started to use my android 7 tablet to read the novels but I've incurred in a zoom error.
when zooming in the reflow doesn't start and it works only when zooming, going back to chapter select and reselecting.
the big problem is that it's impossible to zoom out.
It's possible to use the reset zoom level function (reading layout page in settings) if you return to chapter selection but not during reading.
since it's possible to reset the zoom it's not really a problem, more like a bother to have to zoom in for every chapter so I was wondering if it's possible to modify the css to directly set a font size for all novels. It can be done?
I don't know where the default css for the app is located so here I am asking for it's location or for a "example css" to download, modify and use as custom css

I had been reading a chapter of Horizon in the middle of nowhere over a long span (it's been busy) got the end of the chapter and it wouldn't progress to the next chapter. It was translated on the website but wouldn't open in the app. Did an update just in case and the very chapter I had just finished wasn't there anymore with several chapters before it. Now that I'm trying it, it doesn't look like many of the chapters actually listed are loading up anymore. Does the app still work properly?

"Trust anchor for certification path not found"

Is the cert expired? Is that what happened?
