would u mind if it covers a bit of stella's arm? else it's limited to how much i can tilt it

We should not cover any part of Stella, since she's the main part of the picture. Can you do anything by shrinking the font size? If there's nothing we can do, we can leave the image as it is. It's not that bad, but having to tilt my head that far to read is quite awkward.

Also, I changed the chapter titles on the front page, so unless anyone wants to chime in, you can take those as final and go ahead with the table of contents.

alright I'll use them for contents for now if they change I'll just change it aswell,

as for Stella let me see what i can do

also i only cant find the text of the 1st colour page, if i can get that that would be awesome

Edit: after a little bit of trying and spinning the text around like a helicopter i found a pretty nice solution:

The first color image uses different lines from across chapter one, so I'll get that to you once I finish proofreading chapter one.

The prologue/chapter#/epilogue line looks inconsistently spaced from the chapter title; they should be equally spaced and closer to their respective title than the one above it ("Chapter 3" is closer to "Visitor" than Rebellion, for example). As for typeface, just applying visual design principles I'd suggest something that isn't of the sans serif family for the chapter titles (since the chapter-number line is already that) or the old style family (since "Contents" is already that). So for the chapter titles, probably something of the slab serif family, with heavier weight?

In the meantime, let us all ponder the mystery of "Eiyuutan" (英雄譚) having the katakana for "cavalry" (キャバルリィ) on the LN cover, being translated as "Chivalry" by GA, and actually meaning "heroic tale".

What annoyed me greatly is that the space chapter 3 is in is wider then the others.

It's tougher then it seems, so I'll take my time for it tomorrow

I've been thinking over that one too (the cavalry-chivalry misromanization). After seeing how they mistakenly translated "日" into "Daze" instead of "Days" (specifically refer to the "Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze (異能バトルは日常系のなかで)" LN which is also published by GA Bunko, the same publisher of Rakudai Kishi —even just by reading the translation is enough to know that it's a miss—), I made peace with myself and take them as something lost in translation.

Well finished Chapter 1 of volume 1... Saw nothing really that needed to be fixed. Will finish the rest of the volume with in the next hour and half, And Editing prologue for volume 2 shall post in 15 mins max.
Also this line.
Raw:
しかし白髪交じりの中年は快活に笑う。
Cats translation:
But the middle aged man with grey hair here and there laughed cheerfully.
My edit:
But a grizzled middle aged man laughed cheerfully.
What do you two think? Not many know what grizzled means though. And its hardly used...

PS: Cat calling your post a "my grand speech in the forums..." is.. a bit to far... how did you spend trying to write it? ...

i have to say reading a story like this is quite satisfying since you often see way to many harem deadlock endings with nothing progressing except the size of the harem. either way thanks for vol 1 =))

Half the time I have nothing to do and the other half I'm really busy. (unless that favour I owe that translation group gets called in...) So I should be able to cover all the editing for volume 2. The cat has also requested me to rewrite the Plot Summary and stuff I will do it sometime this week. Don't worry I got a copy of the original RAW novel.
PS: Also thanks for getting the 2 things I missed in the volume 2 edit. :D

Just a quick question, am I allowed to upload the edited colour pages myself or does one of the translators/editors have to do it?

and since unexpectedly i was away all day i didn't have time for the contents page (forgive me KLSymph Q.Q), so I'll get on that soon

I have no clue about uploading images. TheCatWalk has been doing all of that, as far as I know, so you'll have to ask him. Also, I forgot to mention it last time, but in the table of contents the page numbers should be aligned to their right side, not their left (so the 3 and 8 should be directly over the 4 in 84, which should be over the 3 in 143, etc.).

In today's news, I kept people from nominating the project for non-teaser status until I'm finished editing volume one... wait, that's really boring. Today I was proofreading v1c1 to draw it back toward the original Japanese. Let us meditate on the fact that Vermillion is formally called an empire (皇国) not a kingdom (王国), and Stella is an imperial princess (皇女), yet Vermillion is plot-significantly somehow a small country (小国). Weird.

I don't think there are any hard rules on that, so it should be fine for you to upload it yourself, particularly since you already got implied approval from the translator (I thought you did anyways, I'm too lazy to read through all the previous pages).
