I don't think there are any hard rules on that, so it should be fine for you to upload it yourself, particularly since you already got implied approval from the translator (I thought you did anyways, I'm too lazy to read through all the previous pages).
well editing images doesn't require permission since it doesn't harm anything, but uploading to the project page is a different story.
I've already messaged TheCatWalk on this so I'll wait for his reply
According to Jisho online dictrionary, 皇国 is translated as "Japan / the (Japanese) Empire" which maybe implies that the kanji is/was used exclusively for Japanese people to refer the Japanese Empire, (just like how they call the Japan's monarch as 'Tennou' / 天皇). My interpretation to this is that the Author is trying to give Vermillion a more sophisticated / sacred nuance, just like how the japanese people feel about their country.

The cat should not be back to Friday based on what he told me. I don't think the neko will have a problem with it as long as the translations are good and the main part of the image is not covered up by the text.
But in the end just wait for the cat. I have also emailed and messaged him on Facebook him.
This facebook group is a group used by BT admins/translators and just normal readers for stuff that can't be posted on the main BT page so feel free to post your images here. Sumeragi VI Tirtha (TheCatWalk) visits this page a lot and is known to use ~Nyaa!~ every few words in his sentences. He is also known as spam cat. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mayo.chan/
PS: Nyaaa!
PSS: I was about to do some edits on volume 1 but JFerg just beat me to it. So anyway Thank You JFerg.
PSSS: Me and Cat are having a war to see who can come up with the best posts with out going off topic to much... O.o
Currently the personal editor to the cat.

Ah, thanks =D
i just requested member ship to the page
although I'll just keep posting the images in the LN forums since i dont see why i should upload em to facebook
I Finished reading and I got to say... I really really enjoy it. Wow. It wasn't mind blowing but the characters all (so far) felt balanced, thought out, and so far it seems like the author is going to actually grow these characters.
Really can't wait for more now lol! I'll say this, non of the character "erk" me even if (so far) have a weakness or two, their strengths and weakness aren't story breaking, but actually help the setting and understanding the author's world.
Remind me a bit of Gakusen Toshi Asterisk, but with noticeable differences that makes it unique and well executed.
Again thanks for the translations can't wait for more!
Ugh i already bookmarked it and refresh it constantly.
The typeface for the chapter titles seems okay so far, but I'll reserve judgment for when all of them are on the page (we might not want the title line to have lower font weight than the chapter# line). A bigger issue is that the gray color is too pale with that low font weight. I think the titles won't have enough contrast against the white background farther down on the page. The original Japanese text had a heavier weight, so we should either boost that or we go for a darker font color.

That's probably because the characters are thinner then the kanji wich makes it look that way, they are the same colour as the original so should i try a different colour and if so wich one?
Boosting the weight of the font may be better for darkening the text than changing the color, but it might also make the letters wider as well. If we're just going with color it would just be a darker shade of what's there now, which I assume is along the white-gray-black spectrum.
The "Genius Knight" font looks good and also contrasts with the chapter# font (which is good). So let's go with that. Would it be possible to raise the text so that the white surrounding the 'g' characters doesn't blur out part of the horizontal line under them? Or if raising the text messes with the layout too much, would it be possible to not have that effect at the bottom of the 'g' characters?
The white blur at the bottom of the G and other low characters is very hard to remove, the Lines are part of the background
but i can make them a separate layer and put them on the foreground
The fonts look good. Can you do a version with them in italics, since the Japanese text had that effect? Also, the white fade effect around the letters still bothers me; in addition to the horizontal lines being fuzzed out by the 'g' characters, the lower-case 'p' and 'g' from the chapter# line keeps getting it too.
And this may be a lot more work, but can you do anything to equalize the extra space of the Rebellion section? That section is visibly taller than the rest of the sections, probably due to the Japanese text needing extra space for the リベリオン furigana above the 解放軍 kanji.
