Hey guys im just updating the terminology/character threads now(just translating info from jp wiki and fixing up minor details) and Im doing the prologue for vol 2 and should have it done in the next couple of days. Though to be honest I didn't think my english had fallen apart to that extent so please do edit it how you see fit.
Also just to speed future translations up a bit im thinking about just translating without referencing too much even if it doesnt make sense then I'll proof read it a few times and start thinking about how to make the sentences flow better and other usual editing stuff and even then I dont have confidence what I've written will be good(hopefully it should still be readable) so please do ask me questions/edit it to make it better

I wanted to thank the people translating this series.

While reading through volume 1, I went and changed some of the name instances to make it more uniform across the volume until I realized some had different spellings in parenthesis on the format standard page (which is the accepted form?). I also changed "Norum Screening" to "Norn Screening" since it refers to the Norns of Norse mythology. Hope that was okay.

I'm fine with you switching it to Norn. I'm no good with mythology so I wouldn't know the term when I was translating. But could you place it also in the terminology page just so people can refer to it if needed. (Although I don't remember it popping out often).

Depending on who translated it,the names will differ. (I did Chapter 1 to Epilogue and someone else did the Prologue.) I'll probably keep following the ones I use, but I can't say for the other translators.

I don't have the original text so I can put it in the terminology page if someone posts the characters (though I don't believe the Norn Screening is mentioned a whole lot past volume 1 other than a few references). I've also updated the names to match your names since they're the generally accepted translations. I figured I should mention the changes I made and get the OK from you since I'm not an editor, just an avid reader who's slightly picky about uniformity. :)

jn19930 wrote:Anyways, anyone know the name of the Forest Village they were brought to? (Shows up in the end of Vol4 Chapter 1 Part 5 (last sentence too).) It's a super long name in the chinese raw so I don't think I should attempt it that and I couldn't find the jap name for it.

EDIT: Apparently the name of the forest village popped up a few times, so I translated it off chinese as Fresdonime, which clearly needs a name change (as it isn't based off Jap.) But that's what I'll use for now until someone can help me find the name for it.

EDIT2: Apparently someone posted the jap name for the village フォレストニウム which turns to Foresutoniumu, which kinda sounds like teh one I'm using so I'll think its close enough that I'll leave it as that.
フォレスト is basically Forest, just in katakana.
Thus I suggest the following translation: Forestnium
The ending like with uraNIUM and stuff, just with a forest, since it's located in a forest :P

Thats so funny, when I read the epilogue, I couldn't find the name, because I didn't realize Forestnim was the name of the village, I just thought he was trying to use a <location> in english like a lot of LN do.

Haha, guess you're the master in names here. I'm no good with names especially when I can't read jap. I'll change it in the wiki now and add it to the terminology page.

For those wondering when I'll finish Vol.4 Chapter 1, part 9 is one of those suppper long parts which made me back off immediately :? I have a midterm tmr so perhaps I'll get it done tmr night, though is will probably be past midnight if I do attempt it.

Hey guys due to personal reasons I won't have access to the internet on my laptop from today forth although I still plan on translating I won't be able to upload the translations, unfortunately I have no clue as to how long it will be like this and so I want to apologise to the people who were looking forward to them. I'll try and get back as soon as I can.

Hope nothing bad happened to you. Just take your time for the translation, I mean this project was dead for like a year or two, so they've waited for a long time already and are most likely willing to wait.

I know I said I would work on finishing vol 4 chpt 1 yesterday, but I was busy in rl, so I'll start the last part tmr, plus attempt to do most of Chapter 2 tmr as well, now that I have a week break. I'll most likely go at a pace like I did for Vol.1, so if I make lots and lots of mistakes, i apologize beforehand.

Don't mind it.
To fix mistakes it's Editors work

While translating chapter 2 of Vol 4, I think I mistranslated a term in Vol 1. Epilogue. Can someone confirm that "Erdia" is the city in Sherfield? and anyone know the name of the church from Aleclasta?

I believe the name of the Church is リシャル, which I turned it using Google Translate as Risharu. If no one wants to play around the name for it, I'll change the Epilogue part to Risharu in a few hours and add it to the terminology page.

That can be translated as Richard, it seems. http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/%E3%83%AA ... 3%E3%83%AB

That seems a bit off, so I googled Richard in Jap. Richard seems to be リシャール and not リシャル. Although I have no clue how jap works, I don't think I'll change it to Richard until someone else confirms it.

The original spelling for Richard is リチャード, but, both リシャール and リシャル (リシャル・ホセ・イダルゴ) seems to be alternatives though.
