KLSymph wrote:Happy New Year, Rakudai Kishi readers!

As promised, I've posted the results of proofreading volume one over the last two months, and removed the teaser tag as so many people wanted. It was a grueling editing job, but hopefully I've improved the volume enough that we can call it worthy of a main project without me exploding halfway through the declaration. Fellow editors, please go through it and find the remaining errors that I can't see because I've read volume one so many times the text gives me hallucinations now. Lifeman120, we still have to get those character profiles finalized sometime.

I'm going to take a break for a while, so here are my lingering thoughts on volume one:
Spoiler! :
Shizuya: Ha ha, you're no match for a Blazer who has real talent!

Ikki: Oh no, how will I beat this guy?

Stella: Ikki, you're an idiot. Stop being an idiot.

Ikki: You're right Stella, I should totally use my ability to defeat Blazers through dodgy understanding of behavioral psychology.

KLSymph: I spent like three days translating this.
And a prosperous 2015 to all!
Thanks for all your hard work :D

Same for me here.

Um is there anything in particular that needs to be looked at first.

Also, like what the rest said, thanks for your hard work over the past few chapters

Thanks for the support, everyone. As for editing, there's nothing in particular I'd recommend you prioritize (but everything needs editing to some degree). I pointed out volumes two and three before only because I since I was doing deep corrections to volume one, so any edits to that volume by other people would probably have been overwritten or rendered moot by my changes. Right now you can go ahead with any of the text.

The updates can't come fast enough
- It may just be a phrase for exposing emotions not an actual "demand" or "complain" or even a request.
Though just my opinion.

I don't really read other Rakudai Kishi forums, so if someone pushed or complained there, it wouldn't bother me. Since the Baka-Tsuki forums forbid those kinds of posts under the "Do not ask when Chapters will be released" rule, I think I'm reasonably insulated overall.

First and foremost, thank you for translating this LN! I appreciate someone actually translating it which made it become a main project. I really enjoy this LN series. Thanks!

And secondly, although you most likely already know this, don't pay attention to the people who keep asking for faster updates. It's best to just go at your own pace, and rushing things like this is never a good thing.

It seems like there are quite a few editors on this project, and I remember reading something that said anonymous edits could possibly be accepted. I was wondering if this is true, as I sometimes see small mistakes, sometimes even bigger mistakes especially with wording and sentence structure, and I personally think that I could be helpful to correct those small mistakes anonymously. I'm not saying I want to be an editor for this project as I don't have enough time to attempt such a job, however, I would be willing to correct the few mistakes that the editors have not seen. Sometimes an editor, and possibly all the editors, skip over something unknowingly and I can understand that.

Just asking for confirmation, as I don't want to change anything without permission first.

Anyway, thank you for translating.

The site is set up in the wiki format your free to change anything if we dont like it we can just press undo (hehehe). But your free to post anything you want to ask about here before you change it as well. :D Though its quite unlikely volume 1 has anything that needs to be fixed.

I edited the post right after. Saying "Jokes there is always something to be fixed no matter how much it has been looked over." But my internet is the best... as always (if your seeing this this edit got posted...)

Kurogane Ikki -> Ikki Kurogane ??
why?? Kurogane Ikki is better. For people who are already used to reading LN in BT, reversing the order like that is just confusing.
