Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
I feel like the Anime is not doing bad. However, I am slightly disappointed that it is skipping some rather important things. (like the character building between Tigre and Ellen in the city of Leitmeritz) I'm hoping that they left it out specifically to get the tension of Batran's message and will add in those scenes using flashbacks in a later episode.

Why would you think there's rape in this LN? and to answer your question, no there isn't.ParkX wrote:Is there any rape in this light novel, i don't read anything with rape in. Thanks

There are a lot of stories that use rape as some driving force for the plot. While I don't remember there being any rape in this series, Zion was likely going to if Tigre had not shown up.The First wrote:Why would you think there's rape in this LN? and to answer your question, no there isn't.ParkX wrote:Is there any rape in this light novel, i don't read anything with rape in. Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
Well now I'm kinda curious if Senki is used instead of Vanadis in the LN or if it's just the anime... And yeah just finished watching the 0 episode and their translation of Madan no Ou just sounds off... Could just be because I'm used to thinking of it as it was translated in volume 1 but when I think of what he is capable of doing then I really think [King of the Magic Bullet] or something similar works much better. Can anyone who knows Japanese clarify this?

Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
I think it's just me but somehow I am enjoying the machine-translated volume 1 to 5 more than the supposedly human translation of volume 6 and 7. Translation in volume 1 to 5 seems to be more human than those of volume 6 and 7. In volume 6 and 7 that were translated by human, the translation were deemed bad by me that I had a hard time figuring out what's happening during the battles. I need to reread the same sentence few times to even figuring out what's happening with 40% of what I understood come from my own imagination and ad-lib, and I can never understand why did the translator put so much word in bracket and not directly put them in the sentence.
So instead of asking if the translator of vol 6-7 going to work on vol 1-5, I would rather asking if there's a possibility that vol 6-7 to be translated using the same way as earlier volumes.

Much like the art of turning water into wine, alas, the sacred texts on how to make a machine transration accurately readable has been lost with the disappearance of its performer.

That Machine Translator User should open a School to teach how the hell he did it lol. I was kinda worried by the MT stuff but its has a good feel to it for some reason.hayashi_s wrote:Much like the art of turning water into wine, alas, the sacred texts on how to make a machine transration accurately readable has been lost with the disappearance of its performer.

He didn't feel like he could vouch for its accuracy, so that's why he left the preview tag there.

Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
After I watched the first episode (anime) I kinda got hooked and started reading the manga and then the LN. This series is awesome!! Just finished reading vol. 9 The lore is very good felt like playing skyrim (dungeons and dragons and temples and spooky voices -Tri na fa).
Thank you very much for the translations guys. Much Appreciated
and on that can someone please give me an approximate ETA for volume 10 translations ? or how long it usually takes to translate this particular LN ? Just curious. I cant seem to control my excitements
Oh and the machine translations were pretty good too.
Good luck guys and good day/night !
