They're welcome to change the names.

Just be a translator.

In some cases were machine translation accepted - for an interim until there was a real translation or it was so (often / good) overhauled that it was as good as a real translation...

Machine translations do get a own warning tag: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index ... te:PREVIEW

That page is already in place and being filled.
From the feedback at Animesuki, it seems like some of the readers are disagreeing with Florza's choice of romanization.
IMHO, unless they are able to translate or have access to official romanization (which I suppose we don't have), the terms chosen by Florza have more credibility.

Are those people probably comparing Florza's romanizations with that on Jcafe by Zephyr?

Oh, I had forgotten about that. :o Thanks for reminding.

So instead of blanking the page, we can keep it with this template overhead?

I know, but I still don't want to put up a machine translation, especially when there's a formal t/l coming out. I think only those who can read themselves (through an independent source) should have them so they can independently confirm mis-t/l's. I suppose I'm being fussy, but that's just how it is. :(

I would say it depends on the quality of the result of the machine translation...

Is it readable or not? What did it do with the names... and so one. So one should decide case by case.

Where did you found cases like that?
Spoiler! :
An example for a bad one would be: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index ... s/Poke2201 ;)

I think that's probably it. I've also read Zephyr summaries, be even he comments that it's difficult to find a the right romanization for the characters names in the series. Also don't other with it Florza, if they are so picky about it why not translate themselves.

I personally don't think of it as a big issue, seeing as I adapt quickly to these kind of things.
It's useless, it's all useless.

See aren't a lot of chapters of ZnT machine translated? They seem to work ok for the most part.

IIRC, someone went through it and re-did the bad parts.

I'm just romanising it as how the katakana would sound in English spelling, until proven otherwise.

Picture Translation in progress. I'm so going to hate page 7 xD

そんなに見つめられるとさすがに恥ずかしくなってくるのだが
Although you keep staring at me so intently, as expected it really is embarrassing

Trying to do some minor translations, though I need to brush up on my Japanese as I did not have the time to keep studying. I'm the type where I can read this to myself and understand it in my own way, yet translating it in to proper words is hard =X. First thing that popped through my head when I read it was, if you keep staring at me that much, it really is embarassing. But that feels like I'm skimming through a lot of it and just getting the gist of the sentence.

Feel free to correct me as I am still relearning everything.

Someone posted a page of the manga which shows "Tigre":

Of course, since it's a single panel in the manga rather than the LN, make of it what you will. Better than nothing, I suppose.
