That's Yuuichi.
The guy in front of the blackboard's Yamanishi, and the two behind Rika and Yuuichi are Tsukasa and Miyuki.
Those after stories are one of the reasons I started learning Japanese. The Anime covers most of the important stuff really, but you don't get to see Rika in Yukata! On a foldout-page!

damn they look so...damn cheery compare to their anime counterpart. what i meant is that even the character design looks happier.

I'm afraid that's not going to happen unless you find a willing translator. As much as I love Hantsuki, I won't continue translation of it for previously stated reasons. But I'm very delighted to see there are fellow fans of Hantsuki around here.

Re: Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora Translation?
For fans of Hantsuki, has anyone read the "full version" published in 2010?
I only know that all illustrations have been removed and the content has been substantially revised, including extensive use of the Ise dialect. Since I have been quite interested in the series, I am thinking of getting either the 8-book bunko set or the 2-book full version. Any idea on which version I should get? Thanks in advance.

I can understand the 8 book, since the series consists of 8 novel volumes, but what do you mean by the 2-book full version?Doraneko wrote:For fans of Hantsuki, has anyone read the "full version" published in 2010?

It is the revised version published in hardcover in 2010, with all the illustrations removed. Likely it is custom-made for the otaku-allergic general public who have enjoyed the 2010 live-action movie.ShadowZeroHeart wrote:I can understand the 8 book, since the series consists of 8 novel volumes, but what do you mean by the 2-book full version?
I'd assume it has not been localized in other countries so few people outside Japan known about it. But the changes seem to be substantial enough, from more accurate and extensive use of the Ise dialect to a number of plot changes.
Since I have read neither version, my info is all hearsay. Nevertheless I would certainly love to get some more advice from Hantsuki fans before deciding which version to get.

The 8 volume version was good, not sure about the 2 volume one... But they probably took out a lot... Its hard to make a comparison unless someone read both versions I guess

Re: Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora Translation?
Hardcover books are considerably thicker and heavier than the tiny bunko paperbacks, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just earlier I also heard that it only covers the hospital arc which spans from volume 1 to 5. If anything, there may be lots of juicy extra content instead.ShadowZeroHeart wrote:The 8 volume version was good, not sure about the 2 volume one... But they probably took out a lot... So my options:
"Full version" + Bunko vol. 6-8 = 5073 yen
Bunko vol. 1-8 = 4561 yen

There is a seemingly on-going project here. Funnily, seems like he's also German.
My translation is still a bit ahead, though.

How is the language of this series compared to say....HakoMari or Shana or Kara no Kyoukai? Simpler? Harder?
