On topic: I don't know whether I am happy about an anime-version... they can screw up in too many places for me to be happy yet. Well, I will wait for more info before I give a final statement. But I guess I am at least going to try it out for a few epsiodes...

I think it could work out quite well. After all, the novel consists of short stories that fit (more or less) perfectly into single episodes.

Hopefully, Gainax won't stray too far from the source material... as they wont to do.

None, if memory serves me right. There are only very few instances of basic English words. Well, there was a nun in the latest volume that cursed in English all the time, though.
