I just read the prologue and I quite like this theme of the NEETs convinces me a lot even more what detectives believe is innovative NEET they have added this issue to the novel, I recently recommended the anime and as I passed teasers by the forum decided to do this translation test, in conclusion I would like to keep reading because at least for me it looks promising, I did the prologue short (plus mystery is one of my favorite genres).

It would be great if some great brave warrior translates the first volume. Its IMO the best of at least the first 5 volumes. The anime still haven't covered this case, though I'm sure it will sooner or later (they've already changed the timeline, but hey they can't take off the best case of the novels!).

Well I agree with you, I hope some brave warrior can translate this novel, did not know that the disorder cases ._. in the anime so thanks for the info (Actually I'm in Chapter 7 of the anime and I've seen the last case that has taken are working to resolve many chapters -.-").

don't know what is Starry Rift about. the novella's title is "The only neat thing to do", and the author is James Tiptree, Jr.

"Starry Rift" seems to be a compilation of stories where "The only neat thing to do" was included.
anyway that name doesn't appear at all on the japanese book. probably a double translation, since the novella name is translated in japanese (tatta hitotsu no saeta yarikata).

that full page on the japanese book is:

「感謝を表わす原始的な反応です。快感を与えるための。つまり、ふだんのわたしたちの宿主は、とても愚かなので、肉体的感覚でこちらの感謝を表わすしかないのです」

every volume first page is a quote of that style.

volume 1 starts with 2 quotes from James Tiptree Jr' novella "The only neat thing to do"
volume 2 starts with a quote of SF manga "Watashi wa Shingo" by Umezu Kazuo
volume 3 starts with a biblical quote of Daniel 12:2
volume 4 starts with a quote of the lyrics of "ROCKET DIVE", a song by hide

what I did was search the original version, like in volume 3. instead of translating what's on the light novel in japanese, I'd just search Daniel 12:2 on an english bible and use that. I did that for the first quote of volume 1 since the original novella was in english.

Which version of the Bible though? In English, there are literally dozens.

Lol the anime or something is messed up late or something because apparently going at the end of Volume 1 (two chapters of the final) so it seems that adapt to volume 2, I hope someone hears our prayers for the translation of volume 1 x_x

Haha you should try reading it then? The novels are seriously that good. The anime sux big time though, don't even bother. The anime doesn't even make sense in some parts

Do me a favor and tell those imbeciles that the anime first episode was total crap.The reason it is the best of all is because the sequence of events were changed, and they cut out like 80% of the good and important parts to the story for the volumes.

Actually reading them. But school is the biggest obstacle. I'll enjoy them at Christmas or during Thanksgiving.

Actually, Kamimemo is one of the only anime I followed this summer. I mean, what else can I? Dantalian's fine, Mayo Chiki+Itsuten are not bad, but for else...
