Depends on your definition of main. It's the main driving force for Toori; for Horizon's sake he declares war on the world.

I'd say the main draw is the rich world and science-fantasy plot though. And of course the battle scenes

I think they're equally balanced. Romance is pretty big too in the sense that those scenes are there just purely cause Kawakami wants to write about them being all wuv wuv and less have to do with plot like in Vol 1. Muneshige x Gin and Tenzou x Mary come to mind ... especially Tenzou's confession scene.

Ah....just go check the AS thread....that's about as standardized as you can get in english. Especially since Allen contributed most of the stuff on that thread...
