Alright. Super long post, coming up!

So, um, first of all... I sincerely apologize for suddenly disappearing into realm of RL for more than half a year. Sorry, please forgive me... *hangs head*

I'm glad to see Catahn picking up where I left off... Sorry about stopping at that major cliffhanger (as I saw many of you complain xD), and thanks for starting up the translations again, Catahn!

I actually had part 1 of that final act translated before I went MIA, and comparing them now, some parts are slightly different - either meaning-wise, formatting-wise, or both. But I was translating mainly from the Chinese version, so that could have caused some discrepancies. And, no offense to Catahn's hard work, I think that the part 1 he posted needs some editing on the grammar and fluency. So I'm wondering what to do with that... Would there be anyone fluent in Japanese and English willing to edit through what he has up, while matching our translations to the original and merging them together somehow?

I am also wanting to start translating again, but at a much slower pace than I was before (too much time and devotion for the translation caused me a lot of RL problems and falling behind on stuff... -_-||). I saw on Catahn's talk page that he had started the first few pages of part 2. (That talk page progress thing is a good idea... maybe I should start doing that also, just so that I don't end up disappearing again!) So maybe I should start part 3? Or should I do the next and final chapter, Awarded Play...?

I've PM'ed Catahn about it to see what he thinks I should do, but I think I should ask the readers as well... What would you people like me to do?

Finally revived from the dead,

Happy belated Valentine's day! xD

Well, since the concluding chapter is fairly short, I decided to just translate that for now. It should be up by the end of this weekend, or early next week at the latest. If Catahn doesn't reply by then... Am I allowed take over the chapter he registered for...? (well, starting from part 3 since he's doing 2)
It seems that he hasn't updated his status since December...

Don't know the protocol @_@

Alright, thanks.

Finished the Awarded Play (epilogue), starting part 3 and 4 of the chapter before that.
it feels weird working backwards... especially when I haven't even read it in-depth yet

Don't read it unless you're prepared for spoilers!

Thank you for translating this series. I'm trying to buy all 10 volumes but D:! I can't find any 1-10sets that ship outside of Japan. Where do you get your volumes?

Ok I'm in desperate need of help translating this... word/phrase/thing.

The sentence is ぷくりと頬をふくらませ、ミオが胸の前で腕を組む。and I haven't the foggiest idea what ぷくり means (I assume the と is the particle). Google has failed me and I haven't the foggiest idea what this could be. Could this be a typo?

I can probably make the translation work without it but... it bothers me...

Let me just quietly point a finger at the "digital copies" previously mentioned in the thread...

@ Catahn
ぷく is an onomatopoeic word for something swelling or puffing up. And the り has something to do with the nuances of it... I'm not too sure, but I think it indicates that Mio puffed up her cheeks not just a little bit but fully, making it obvious to the observer.

Actually, Baka-Tsuki has a pretty good onomatopoeia thread which I've referred to from time to time --> viewtopic.php?p=47025

I looked at that but didn't realize the り was a nuance. That makes a lot more sense now, and it fits the scene too.

Thanks Mystrael. I was actually just headed to that page to check out つん since it isn't showing up in jisho.

Edit: Ok just checked... I'm not seeing it.

「ぼか。忘れるわけないよ」

つん、と、自分を見つめてくる少年の額を指先でつついた。

The つん、と、seems slightly confusing. Could it be つんと which would be a prickly attitude? http://jisho.org/words?jap=tsun&eng=&dict=edict

Should ぼか in the quotations should be ばか?

Anyway, there's another onomatopoeia dictionary online that I've found to be helpful, which is here. According to that, つん shows doing something in a sharp/pointy way, which makes sense in the context of poking his forehead.

Yes that ぼか should be ばか. Not sure how I missed that XD

Aha that would definitely make sense. Thanks Mystrael. And Yaay! Another Japanese resource!
