I'm dead tired after 4 continuous days of meetings and negotiations......
Well, I have trouble organizing my thoughts now but just very briefly, coming back to the topic of Singlish translations, it's not real English and most of the international community have trouble understanding it. As appointed (volunteer) staff, we must remember that BT was started by the big boss and not our playground, and we should do our best not to let its rep suffer, if not better it. Like I mentioned previously, most of the international community have trouble understanding Singlish and many even frown on it; posting Singlish translations as English translations just make us look like trolls (which makes our rep suffer; I already have received negative feedback from various old-timers and some other people - staff included - on the state of affairs at BT getting worse, though I would not name them). It will not be a problem however if it's categorized as an alternative language. If one has problems with the rules (actually guidelines) of BT, or want to divert from it, or want better quality control (which you can also do here by imposing stricter rules), it's suggested that one starts his/her own translation site. Even though BT is primarily an infrastructure for lazy people like me to post fan-translations, there are still things to be adhered to.
Thanks for understanding
