Re: Official Baka-Tsuki Android App: BakaReader Available no
Hey, just wanted to drop in and say I'm loving the app . I was also wondering, if I download a chapter and then it gets updated or changed, does the download update itself the next time I check for updates? Or do I have to re-download it?

i think it was answered before, its not possible since making an ios app cost a lot of money and you're not even sure if it will get approved (if its not you cant put it in the marker or even install it i think)
well i think it was something along those lines but im sure the answer was no

Andyrobo already made it clear he has no intentions of making an iOs versionpa3ck123 wrote:is it possible to obtain as Ios version of this app?
And even if he did, this app most likely wouldn't make it to the app store

Each time a chapter is opened the app will check for updates to the chapters and download them. It will display the old version and update to the newer version once it has downloaded it (this might take a few seconds).Jokerman wrote:Hey, just wanted to drop in and say I'm loving the app . I am not planing an iOS version, However some people have been working on getting Android apps running on iOS. I don't know when (or even if) it will be released. http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/ali ... s-2011106/pa3ck123 wrote:is it possible to obtain as Ios version of this app?

Maybe make a small site with the apk directly, for those who don't have access to the android market (I have a kobo reader that don't have google license for the google apps).

Could you make the app load the teaser project ? The app only load the title on the sidebar and there some teaser projects like horizon has been updated quite frequently , it will also help reader to get notification for the update of teaser projects that they are interested in.

Re: Official Baka-Tsuki Android App: BakaReader Available no
The two minor issues I have with the app right now, (Didn't notice this until I went on a 4 hour roadtrip with my Nook Color), is that even though you can preload the text for offline viewing by downloading the entire series/volume/chapter to your tablet, the full size novel illustrations and cover don't get downloaded with the series. They still get shown in thumbnail form embedded with the text. However, as you try to view each image, you get directed to a white page since the reader can't load it from the Baka-Tsuki server
The other thing that I noticed as I navigated anywhere (from chapter lists, volume lists, and series lists) I was constantly shown a "Error: Unable to connect to Baka-Tsuki" (which was due to having no-wifi in the car)
I'd like to make two suggestions for further improvement of the app:
-Download fullsize illustrations when choosing to download series/volume/chapter to device (and possibly add a toggle-able option in the settings to enable this or not since some people might not care and just want it to download quickly)
-Somehow let the app go into offline mode to disable the server error notification, because we already know why it cant connect.

unfortunately, there isn't much demand for Symbian version....
