First of all just wanted to say thanks for the translation, really enjoying them so far. I just can't get enough of Hina lol, she is just so adorable, I can see why why he's so over protective of her lol. Speaking of which it must be hard for a child her age, who has no concept of death to have live never knowing why her parents aren't coming back.
An excellent heartwarming story. I found my interest in this by reading the first few chapters of the manga. I found it by chance while looking for similar stories after finishing "Usagi Drop". The drama is more low-key thankfully in this series. After reading this first volume of the light novels, I'm looking forward to more. The comedic tension in this first volume I thought was refreshing. As a suddenly-became-a-father to a daughter many years ago, a lot of these situations, have let me laugh about things that I always took for granted.
So thank you to those that worked on this translation, and any future translations. It is appreciated, and welcomed.
Thank you for translating this novel, I like the story a lot !
Just finished reading vol 1, and I don't believe it that at the end of chapter 6 my nose was already running and my sight was blurry...just to describe how touching the story is. That said, I nominated "Parents' Day for Everyone" to be a candidate for the last episode for the anime adaptation, since it's the climax of the story IMO.
Again I would like to express my gratitude to those who spent time and efforts on translating this touching novel. Though not all of the chapters are excellent they still manage to touch a side of me that no light novels I have read so far could. I could really relate myself to Yuuta's situation since my sis was at the same age as Hina when I first came to uni. She was somewhat annoying and unbearable at times, but she's still a great kid in the end and I can understand the Yutaa's love for Hina.
This series is really good. This was one of the few novels that made me chuckle (out loud) and really moved me. I've yet to read the second volume (obviously cause it isn't finished yet) and have been checking the page for new updates. Thank you for your hard work!

Still waiting for Vol 2 Chapter 2. Been itching to read it for months! I think it's safe to assume that Freedom203 is MIA. Or inactive. Kudos to Zephyrus for completing a whole volume by himself
