If you feel that strongly about this light novel, then vote for it in the poll on August. Otherwise, it's just not happening.DoomCalibur wrote:Well, that s a good ideal though Code zero said that when he finished the high school dxd translation he will add madan to his possible next project. Therefore u can discuss about the project and teaser with him.
That announcement was for new translators to Baka-Tsuki that need help getting started since I have seen some able translators roaming about here and there, but they are too shy to ask or don't know who to ask. A few new users have been visiting this thread as of lately.

Side note, Hiro. I love it when I read a serious post of yours while looking at your avatar with Eu drinking tea as if it's nothing.

Thought I'd swing by and show my support. Read all the summaries by Zephyr over on jcafe and thought this LN was amazing!
The incredible amount of detail that you slowly uncover about the setting and the world, and the care in pointing out the "real world" or "political" ramifications of a person's actions is done very cleverly. In this story, it's very clear that, when you have power - your actions may have unintended consequences and for every action there is a reaction!
Politics, intrigue, heroes and heroines, suspense, comedy and romance! The King of the Magic Bullet and Vanadis!

This novel was a nice surprise to me, started reading it as I was looking for a new series and it got me hooked in no time.
It's useless, it's all useless.

Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
My japanese is still quite basic, and I'm in the last year of my uni and spending most of my free time trying to keep up with my backlog of Light Novel and some Visual Novels. I'd love too translate it, but I don't wanna make compromises I can't keep. So if try I have to deticate my all or it will not work out, it was the same when I started learning japanese.Darklor wrote:Hm, you did read it? So why not create a translation?
Maybe when I have more free time available, most likely in December. I'll see what I can do.

Ah, thought by now you would have enough proficiency to do it without problems
Also you could start it always as a teaser...
But I can understand you a little I have also quite a backlog of books to read...

So, thought I'd point out that Code-Zero has listed this as one of the titles he'd consider translating in his poll. He said he'd pick one of the top 4, but it doesn't look like this one'll make it..

Maybe we could crete a teaser of some of the delicious parts and the epic fights part of the end of volume 1 to maybe help pull in some votes.

Re: Madan no Ou to Vanadis
Volume 5 is coming out in 3 days. Cant wait.....
Dragons appears in previous volumes, but at the end of volume 4 a two-headed dragon which is twice as big as regular dragon and also eats other dragons appears. Obviously to face off against Tigre and his troop.
And also judging from the cover, we will be seeing the 6th Vanadis in detail. So far each Vanadis has taken the cover of the LN, so we might see how the 7th one looks like in volume 6 or 7.
Even if this doesnt get voted much in the poll, Im sure the guy called Zphyr in Jcafe will be continuing with his translation.

It seems like volume 5 is the end of the first story arc. So looks like volume 5 would be big.
But the usual illustrator for this series only did the cover, and the remaining illustrations were done by the manga illustrator of this series.
