Gonna start reading through Hidan no Aria & fix errors, typos, wrong sentence structures, etc.
Main language is English so hopefully no problems there, but I know a bit of Japanese and (useless) Greek.

I'll help fix any errors i find in SAO. My english is good, but noticing errors is a bit hard for me.

Hello, I'd like to use this post to request a help from a competent English editor.

I'm working on SAO translation of vol.9 but my current editor Pryun, who edited all my past works, has no internet access currently due to his work, so he couldn't do any edit at the moment. And I have no intention to upload the script to wiki without a proper edit first.

So I would like to ask if any editor here who loves SAO series and interested to edit my script, which I'm sure have a massive amount of errors. My requirements are:
- Being a fan of SAO series, and already read all available translated chapters here (to avoid spoiling yourself)
- Has an excellent English knowledge, being able to spot grammatical errors and could re-flow sentences to make them looked more natural.
- I work slowly, around 3-5 pages per day, and I would like an editor who could edit those pages daily on google docs.
- Understand and respect my preferences in presenting the script, agree with honorific usage, not trying to add references, but I'm willing to hear all opinions regarding the work.

If you're confident in your editing skill and would like to help, please PM me, thank you.

* Currently, Prologue 2 and Interlude 1 are already finished, they're around 85 pages of JP novel.

Ugh, if I had known about this, I would have volunteered T_T I can agree/abide/satisfy these requirements, and I'm already making random edits on the wiki anyway. I suppose It's too late now that you've already done the works...

Well, if you are interested in continuing with SAO, please count me in. For now, have a good break!!

I would like to sign up as an editor. I've been writing stories, and editing the stories of others, without interruption since I was 12. As a result, I feel I can quickly streamline translated text into something that flows.

The reason why I want to become an editor is because I would like to give back to a light novel project that has given me much satisfaction. To support the author, I just recently bought all the SAO novels that're currently out, despite not knowing how to read them that well! I have, however, read all the Baka Tsuki PDFs.

Alas, I don't know if SAO will ever have an English market, so the least I can do is contribute to the tenth novel!

Hey. To translate, all you need to do is register for a chapter and then start translating. There really aren't any requirements or any ceremony involved. Just remember to have fun~

Hi there,

I think I could help out things like checking for spellings, grammatical errors, etc. as I'm confident that I have a strong basis in English. I'd like to contribute this series since I'm currently reading the translated volumes. How should I start out as an editor, please?

I would want to start out as an editor for Hidan no Aria, seeing as how there has been no changes to volume 10 yet.

I really want to help, I have a few experiences with books and sorts, and i can spot errors and wrong grammars in the text.

My problem is that I don't know how things work here yet, I would also like to ask questions but I don't know who to approach.
Though I recently read some threads of HnA recruitment and that you guys are talking about approaching the Project moderators, I just don't know how to contact them. It's by email right or through the forums here at BakaTsuki?

Also I could also do Sword Art Online, because Volume 11 hasn't had any progress yet. But like my problem with HnA, I am not sure as how to approach. :?
P.S. Feel free to PM me anything you want, oh, be as random as possible

As mentioned, to all those who want to help out as editors, feel free to do so.

Refer to Editors for more information.

Just don't change it so much that the original meaning is lost, but if you do that people will usually notice and then you will get a scolding, especially if you did it without discussing with the rest first. However rest assured that correcting grammar errors and whatnot is perfectly fine, translators are human too and they will make mistakes as well. Editors are there to ensure that those mistakes are corrected.
Don't you just love reading? I think it is one of the joys of life, where we can escape the cold reality of the world and exist in something so much more fun and exciting! ^_^
