Sorry for the long wait people, part 2 of Vol.7 Chapter 1 is done and undergoing intense editing via the friends route along with part 1, some parts will flow a little easier now i hope. Will hand over to baka editors within a few days just like last time.
Preparing for the final exams right now so part 3 of said chapter will come out in roughly 2 months.

Summary (from around 2 page back):atdy587 wrote:Hi guys. new to this forums. Y nt use dusk taker as thats wat they used in the anime anyway.
Ushwood wrote:A question. Vol.3 title is "Dusk Robber", and Noumi's avatar name is "Dusk Taker". Are they different in the original, or just different translations?
Lan013 wrote:Title is in Japanese while avatar name is in English.
Ushwood wrote:Well, my point is, shouldn't the title be the same as the avater name, "Dusk taker"?
Lan013 wrote:The problem is the volume titles just indirectly relate it to the main subject like that "dusk robber" which could simply be dusk taker.
BeginnerXP wrote:Volume 3 title is 夕闇の略奪者 reads Yūyami no Ryakudatsusha, literally 'the twilight robber'. If author wants the title to read Dusk Taker, wouldn't it easier for him to just using ダスク・テイカー? In my opinion, he used 夕闇の略奪者 just because he wants it to read differently, while still means the same thing. Which Xplorer30 reflected this by using different wording in the volume title.
Xplorer30 wrote:I don't think the author want to use the English avatar name directly for volume titles, so I translated it using the Japanese word meaning instead. It does have something to do with the new character's name though, like volume 2 title. If other translators want to change this, we can talk about it.
And if you actually read the Light Novel, the translator actually already use Dusk Taker as the character name which is the same as the anime one (CMIIW, but as far as I remember there is no title in anime which has any relation to Dusk Taker)Xplorer30 wrote:Taker is his exact name so I want to avoid using that

forsaken by god , humans are bound to the hands of the devil. reality is that god never exist , and when humans thinks they are forgotten they just abandon rationality

Re: Accel World
Kuro-hime's name isn't an issue to me. I'm more on revealing the message that wants to be transmitted(with a high regard on feelings, emotions, expressions).
It might be the autor's wish to appeal more to his work(as more valuable) or might it be to be uncouvered(for us to play the detective). Or just in case the autor has a surprise prepared at the name's premiere. (If you enjoy my works) I might spoil it for you, but what would my spoil be then? (this supposing to be a fair trade)

Re: Accel World
Hello all,
I came here right after finishing the anime version of Accel World. Just like with High School DxD, I feel the demand for more chapter translations for Accel World will increase from now on, since the anime gave this series more attention than before. I look forward to checking up for updates now and then for this translation project, and being semi-active on the forums from now on.
I'm glad that I watched the anime, because I really only came to this site for High School DxD (another really good Light Novel) updates. Now that I have an interest in Accel World, I have a new reason to come here.
One question though: How often do translators upload translated chapters for this series? Not comparing, but Code Zero who worked on HS DxD uploaded at quite a fast pace. I just want to prepare my expectations if the translators for this project are not as speedy as CZ.
Sorry for mentioning HS DxD in an Accel World forum. I guess it's rude, but I want people to know where I'm coming from and what my expectations are.

Re: Accel World
You know, you can simply check the Updates section of the project page for a sense of past progress...
Currently, the only regular contributor is Eternal Dreamer whom you should already be familiar with (he did all of V5 and finished off V4 of High School DxD).
Project Supervisor Xplorer30 is on break but might be back after a while.
Some of the later volumes are progressing sporadically, but I assume you're only interested in reading sequentially without any gaps.
There are also rumors of other translator(s?) intending to pitch in, but that will most likely be December or later. (Translators have regular lives, after all.)

Thanks for the reply, I got most of my questions answered in this post. Seems like I'm going to have to wait a while for the volumes to be completely finished.zzhk wrote:You know, you can simply check the Updates section of the project page for a sense of past progress...

Re: Accel World
Made very heavy modifications to the 2 parts of Volume 7 Chapter 1, it flows now like really proper english. No need to worry about the original meaning and such, we made sure that stayed intact.
Editors please check it over, there could still be mistakes in there that we have missed.
Preparing for the final exams right now so part 3 of said chapter will come out in roughly 2 months.

Re: Accel World
Success (to all and Kai Ding) on your exams and studying and let's not worry, there is plenty of time for AW.
There is no illustration meeting with the game creator. Another reason is Kuroyukihime's name still held secret. I think AW isn't near to finish.
Check out Shiroyukihime in Chapter 12 illustrations.
Unreal HAWTH. At least both of them seem to have reconciled.

Re: Accel World
Well, prompted by the Accel World page, I created an account just to thank you all for your hard work in translating this! This series is really great, and it feels (to me) deeper than SAO, especially with the more prominent psychological conflicts. I'll try to contribute via grammar/syntax edits.

Re: Accel World
Just Finished the Anime for Accel World. Finally decided to give it a look after SAO hmm. It was Good I hope they do a Season 2. I fell Accel World required a Anime to truly be good cause its much easier understanding some of the things in it where in SAO I prefer the LN's. Thank you guys for the Translations so far Excited for Vol 5 Once you get there ^ ^
