Re: So, Incest ending impossibru?
Exactly why I think Mayumi is a good fit. She's the only girl other than his sister to make him smile.Urgalicious wrote:Well, it has been about half a year since I read the first 7 volumes (which are the only ones I have read, so please forgive my lack of knowledge for recent events), so I am sorry if I sound like an idiot.
That being said, I am confused on how a Tatsuya x Mayumi ending is considered to be impossible by a few people in the topic. I thought that throughout the series, the author has been hinting towards this ending more than any other.
Well, I guess my post ended up become more of a rant than anything else, and lengthy at that. I understand that everyone has different opinions. I also don't think a Mayumi ending is 100% by any means. However, what I don't understand is where the justification for a 0% chance for him to fall in love with anyone else other than his sister, or choosing a path other than her guardian comes from.Spoiler! :
His sister might also be a good fit, but honestly, Saegusa is an amazing girl.
I'd be fine if they made it incest, but Dengeki Bunko's policy forbids that.

All of you are totally forgetting that arranged marriages are quite commonplace within this setting.
Therefore any feelings he may have for any one heroine is totally irrelevant, especially considering how controlling and emotionless the matriarch of his family is. He'll marry whomever she decides for him to marry unless he kills her first.
And frankly, I don't see him ending up with Miyuki no matter how she sees him. Lina also seems very unlikely as she's a foreign military officer and I doubt either nation would like them getting together.

and you all forget about Tatsuya's gene is defective for magician.HD122580 wrote:All of you are totally forgetting that arranged marriages are quite commonplace within this setting.

there is high risk for having a child with a defect.
i doubt he can marry anyone from the magician community.
it's better for him to marry someone outside there. like what happened to Shizuku's parents.

Yeah..Everything you said is the thing that definitely isn't gonna happen: Maya has no way to control/order Tatsuya around, when she tried to, it even leaded to a skirmish involving her Night, moreover an arranged marriage would be completely against his first goal of protecting Miyuki.HD122580 wrote:All of you are totally forgetting that arranged marriages are quite commonplace within this setting.

On the other hand i kind of see Lina as an improbable but possible love interest (arranged marriage) since i see her presence in Japan as a gamble by the Elder and his brother to have Lina/Tatsuya marry.

Only that nobody but a few select knows about his decomposition. I doubt that even the elder knows about this ability even so he knows about Tatsuya being a Yotsuba.

Well the Yotsuba definitely won't let him desclose his magic(which could change if Miyuki becomes the clan head) and additionally his decomposition magic Mist dispersal and anything related to it like MB is also a military secret.Breakers wrote:so even in the future the secret will keep forever ?Azyrion wrote:Only that nobody but a few select knows about his decomposition. As long as he's the assigned guardian of Miyuki, we can safely say that he will not be forced into an arrange marriage, since marriage would in some way hinder his goal: to protect Miyuki.HD122580 wrote:All of you are totally forgetting that arranged marriages are quite commonplace within this setting.
Tatsuya said before (I forgot what volume) that he will reveal himself to the world after graduating. I'm assuming that includes him revealing that he's a part of the Yotsuba, Silver Taurus, and a Special Lieutenant of the Independent Magic Battalion.Breakers wrote:so even in the future the secret will keep forever ?Azyrion wrote:Only that nobody but a few select knows about his decomposition. Regarding the incest ending: I'm all for it, though I wouldn't be mad if he ends up with anyone (Yes, even Fujibayashi) since all of the girls are likeable. Perhaps we can finally see a "true" harem ending?
Senseless.

Except the Yotsuba bloodline doesn't pass on their individual abilities. Their children will either have mental interference type magic or a sort of non-systemic magic(can't really remember the second type...) so there is no guarantee that any of his children will inherit a similarly highly specialized magic calculation area like his. He also has a vast psion count which makes him great magician stock despite it no longer being a factor in magic ranking(that could change by the end of the series).Harddisk wrote:and you all forget about Tatsuya's gene is defective for magician.HD122580 wrote:All of you are totally forgetting that arranged marriages are quite commonplace within this setting.

Personally, that's why I find the new magic ranking system which ignores Psion Count to be retarded. Sure, speed is lethal, but Gram Demolition is OP. And only those with S-ranked Psion counts can reliably and repeatedly use Gram Demolition.Vexacion wrote: He also has a vast psion count which makes him great magician stock despite it no longer being a factor in magic ranking(that could change by the end of the series).
