Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. I'm already pretty much addicted to the anime...
I'd love to start reading the novels and see their take on the scenarios, etc.
But my current Translator Level: 1/10

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
In the anime, too many things are cut off, so the plot makes less sense...
Some interesting and important parts are changed as well...
Maybe the later part of the series may even be completely different from the novel!!
So i do not really like the anime so far... it doesnt seem to make sense to me...

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
I found this rather boring (anime even more), and there are better novels to translate, so I pick no.
Of course, I'm not opposing if someone decides to translate.

Go out there to find some translators ~.~
plenty of novels out there, plenty of people, just take a gun, point it at some random guy, and wala! you got your very own personal translator!

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
question..
the anime's too laden with sexual innuendo and fan service, something you don't usually see in light novels.. so what exactly happened? i mean, how'd the anime fair to those who read the series?

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
About the fan service, it is not that bad in the novel, mainly because the fact that you cannot really SEE what is going on, but if you think about the words in the novel... yeah i guess it is similar...
In the novel, things are more realistic, and as we mentioned, in our opinions, the novel is WAY better than the anime. The anime focuses too much on the fanservice, whereas the novel is more on their (romantic) love story, with the fanservice as a plus.
That is my opinion at least.

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Hmmm....I haven't read the novels personally, but it does seem that they are kinda going overboard with some stuff ^_^ though I can see it being explained in the novel, I think it was done a little too much in the anime...ah well. But with any romantic comedy type series, there are bound to be moments....^_^, but it does see that the anime blew a few thing out of proportion...then again I haven't read the novels yet.

Yeah i agree with you on that part... i had a much better idea for them ~.~Krikit wrote:Hmmm....I haven't read the novels personally, but it does seem that they are kinda going overboard with some stuff ^_^though I can see it being explained in the novel, I think it was done a little too much in the anime...ah well. But nonetheless, the anime would probably do something much more dumb... I mean, the part about Haruka dropping the catalog, and since Yuto solved that right next to her(in the anime) there is no way she never noticed! in the novel, she ran off first, then Yuto played a dumb act to cover up, that makes more sense.

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
I see your point...But I do want to reply by saying:
In the anime, she was right there, and she DID notice him stick up for her. You find out later that she wasn't worried about herself being exposed, she had holed herself up because she was feeling bad he had taken it on himself. In the novel, is this how the scenario is played out? Or is it different? (AKA Haruka running off, then he covers it up, and Haruka never knows?)

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
In the novel, Haruka does her silly acts as always, drops her bag, the catalog flies out... Everyone stares at her and the catalog, and (obviously, and naturally) she runs off in shame immediately(who else stays there until everything ends and THEN run)... Yuto plays the dumb act and everyone thinks that he suits the catalog. Haruka believes that her secret is exposed, that is why she locks herself in her room. and so Yuto the Haruka-saviour/pacifier comes into play...
In the anime, if what you said is true, that she is worried about Yuto being isolated, wont it be funny that she did not go to school for three days without contacting Yuto at all?

Re: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
This is making me really want to read the novels.....
As for the anime though, when Yuto and the others are all outside her door, which she locked herself in for 3 days, Yuto finally says that it's fine, as everyone thinks it was his magazine. Then Haruka comes out going on about how that is the problem, because of her he is being treated this way...etc. Then she didn't come out because she knew she wanted to tell everyone it was hers and "free" Yuto, but if she does, then she was afraid of being alone, and that's where the pacifier Yuto comes in, saying "I'll be with you forever," haha.....But according to the anime, she stayed long enough to hear Yuto say it was all his stuff.
