Re: http://www.light-novels.info
Added the site. It's where I usually go to check out the synopses and get an overview of the books in the series, but I'm just slow at updating O_o. There's tons of others too, japanese blogs, the same links over at ln.org, etc

double post O_o
First Review is up. It's of PuiPui! Volume 1, the project also hosted at Baka-Tsuki. Most of it is already translated stuff, but there are some spoilers as to what happens throughout the novel, without giving TOO much away.

Check it if you're interested.

Re: http://www.light-novels.info
que double post again O_o
Here's the updates for those interested:
1) The site is now finished with remodling so far. I obviously can't seem to pick a design I really, really like, so I'll just leave it the way it is finally.
2) There is a new Poll up, this time with more information on the page than just choices.
3) I've made a forum...O_o. Took me forever, but its out. Obviously I pirated the phpbb free stuff B-T uses, so it's really, REALLY similar. Just some minor differences The point of it though is to provide a place for discussions about the novels that have synopses, teasers, etc out on the L-N page, rather than novels here at B-T. I won't be adding the translation projects at B-T to the L-N site, because I want it to remain separate for information you can't find elsewhere. If you have any interest at all, feel free to leave a post about whatever. Currently, I've got one section up with a post, and that's under the light novel section in a thread called: Teaser Translated Novels, where you can discuss novels that I've translated a teaser for.
4) I guess that's that actually. I'll get around to the Dragon Crisis! teaser soon, and do the more detailed parts for Accel World and TamaXNama, as they are losing sadly to Kaguya at the moment in terms of teaser length.
Hope to see you at the forums, if you want to post something about a novel specific to the L-N site, otherwise, ...B-T rules!!! /shifty eyes search for big brother/

Re: http://www.light-novels.info
Thanks Oni ^_^.
Also, I've just finished the teaser to Dragon Crisis!
It's not too long, but it's much better than the Kaguya one in my opinion. At the beginning of the Kaguya teaser, there was alot of stuff I translated that didn't really get too in depth right away, though it used that to show the outlook of the main male lead. The difference in size:
Kaguya was ~20 ish pages of the japanese novel.
Dragon Crisis was around a 4 page prologue. Both are the official prologues for their respective volume 1's, but I think Dragon Crisis! takes the cake. Alot more punch I think. Give it a shot .

One thing I'd like to suggest is adding backdrops to your content. While you do have a table and the paragraphs, the starry background against the text makes things a bit difficult (more so straining) to read. Something like this:
This will dim the stars on the main content pane (given the right css-id values) and make it feel like the text is overlaid on the page, rather than meshing the two into one unit.
Code: Select all
body.content div {
background: #222;
opacity: 0.25
}

Nope, I'm not talking about that Archer stuff.b0mb3r wrote:if you gonna pull the archer joke, make a full poem than i will be impress
What I mean is the practicality - yes, vote-spam time.
... Oh great I just revealed my evil plans!

@Mies:
Yeah, I haven't really liked it, but I've been struggling with working out a design I both like and am comfortable with, as well as easy to understand and use.
I spent yesterday working on a complete rework, and after some more changes, it will be up today. It looks much, much better I think, easier on the eyes, and more natural.
give me a few more hours, and it will be set. Man I love spring break . have to do homework still though, and work >.<
