They are licenced by NIS!! Since they do a very good job bringing games that we would never see otherwise I really expect them to do a nice job with those series

I see no reason why they would not. My friend from Japan, when he was visiting, said that K-On was insanely popular.

The time when an anime gets licensed in general is when it pretty much dies in terms of international fanbase imho. No one wants shitty English dubs.

The official subs can kind of be like the superhero who has a penchant for being late to the scene of the crime: useless and hated for showing up after the fact.
