for SG, the inflated price is ~300 yen more. but it's still cheaper than all the shipping options I can find, by a few dollars at least. plus all the LNs I want come by air 3 days after release date in Japan. only some of the manga come by sea dammit.
300+ yen delivery cost still sounds quite a lot even for Singapore.
For SAL delivery to Singapore (available in bk1 and a number of Japanese vendors) the cost is 160-240 yen per book. It usually takes around one to two weeks for the parcel to reach your home.
The cost is even cheaper (130-200 yen per book) if you choose shipping by sea.
On top of that you also get better deals if you buy in batches.
it's actually about 270-280 yen, I rounded it. but ugh, 1 to 2 weeks is too long, why wait for my favourites when I can get it in 3 days and finish it in another 3 days.

Hope that 150 yens won't make you go bankrupt.

Is not that bad...assuming you spend at most 150 bucks on LNs a month...you still have more than enough of your income left. For me anyway. And I earn shit as a conscript.
I have so many piled up that my family threatens to burn/destroy the "useless Jap trash" much to my insane rage.
The question is to wait that LNs get popular and start to sell English-translated, or translate them right now an sell them so LNs would be popular. The forst option is the safest one.

The first option wouldn't work if LNs don't become popular in the first place
From what I see, most of the target audience is too lazy to sit down and read through a novel
