Just noticed something.
The Ambition of Nobuna Oda's music director is the same as Naruto and Fairy Tail's.

I didn't watch both of these to care... only cared for his work for Shin Hokuto no Ken.Kira0802 wrote:Speaking of Nobuna, quoting myself from Facebook:

Maybe in some forums, but I usually don't pay attention to the music composer unless it's Yuki Kajiura.Assassin wrote:... Are you sure someone didn't mention it first before you did?

I knew that thing about ONnY's composer a long time ago. But I didn't mind if he worked for these series.Kira0802 wrote:Maybe in some forums, but I usually don't pay attention to the music composer unless it's Yuki Kajiura.Assassin wrote:... Re: Anime Summer 2012
Personally when I first heard of Arcana Famiglia I was not expecting otome game adaptation. So I think the real problem is that people who haven't heard of it before hand are mad because it betrayed their expectations. Can you seriously tell me that when you read a description about a magic mafia (that isn't KHR), you wouldn't be let down a bit if it was adapted from an otome game.ainsoph9 wrote:

And about Noto Mamiko. I also think that be doesn't fit as Felicita. I think it's because she generally does "dainty" characters. Like characters that are generally protected. Felicita (to me at least) isn't that type pf character. She is the kind of girl who can fight for herself and fight along side her peers. She isn't the kind of character to be lost in the conflict, like how Aria is in Saint Seiya Omega.
But that's just from what I can see so far. Who knows what'll happen?

I agree with you on the expectations for this series in particular.
Felicitá is naive, but she is not helpless or incompetent. Quite the opposite, really.

Wait, Code Geass did come out right? I can't seem to find any trace of it coming out over the internet anywhere.

Concerning "Binbougami ga!," I watched it until the current episode. If you can ignore the first 4 episodes, it really picks up then.

Re: Anime Summer 2012
I just caught up with "Eureka 7: AO", and I can say that it has really picked up in the last few episodes. Man, if you axed the first season, it would be much better in a lot of respects.
I am now on episode 2 of "Utakoi." I am liking what I see thus far but more on that later.

Re: Anime Summer 2012
Actually the laughs were win for me (I lost it a number of times quite honestly), in the same way as Danshi koukou sei (done by the same Sunrise team which also did Gintama), though of course it relies on a lot of references which you won't get unless you read a lot of Jump manga or entire Jump magazines which nearly all the references are based on (which is quite similar to Seitokai no Ichizon in that sense, that is, you have to be well-acquainted with many light novel series to let the parodies hit you hard). In fact I find the jokes from the manga nicely executed. I like Gintama except for the dirty jokes, so I'm really glad that series like Binbougami and Danshi Koukousei do not have the outright pen** jokes.ainsoph9 wrote:No clue.

Another plus for me were the seiyuus. I have never heard HanaKana scream so much, and Momiji's seiyuu, who is relatively quite new to the scene (in terms of work), has displayed quite a fabulous performance. Switching tension levels to and fro throughout is no easy thing, at least, judging from what I heard from the comments on their web radio.
I'm caught up with the manga (raws), which should be ending soon, and there are some serious arcs behind, though the anime will never get there in a cour. Overall, despite the fact that the 2 protag are females, it's pretty mainstream shounen.
If anyone is looking for hardcore comedy with some heartwarming moments, this series is not for you.
I also want to recommend Joshiraku. It has execution vibes of Baby Please Kill me. Joshiraku is dialogue based comedy and its jokes and critiques on japanese words/kanji are rather similar to Monogatari series. The series also makes many pokes at Japanese culture, so if you are well acquainted with Japanese culture, this series will be rather entertaining.

Re: Anime Summer 2012
Yeah, "Joshiraku" and "Baby, Please Kill Me" are two series that we will probably never see over here in the United States licensed. It is a shame.
