I personally go with NyanTaku and other groups ever since I've seen the file size for an AW mkv (613mb 0_O ) Though I'm considering switching to UTW torrents files because NyanTaku is kinda slow now.

At least CR is better than a certain french licence group that ended up capitalising an adjective for no reason. And it's been more than a week. Plus CR scrips beat some groups too.

I personally have no problem with CR/HS, most of their subs are good enough for me, since I'm impatience type and just grab whoever can release first, except SAO, which CR latecasting it 5 hours after JP, so I just watch raw and wait for UTW release to rewatch a day later.

Yeah, but Fuurinzakan is not just a guild name, it was Takeda Shingen's motto, thus being kinda different.

Series like Campione, bokuH or Dog days, I take HS because I honestly don't mind the quality for them. In contrast, I have preference for rori's Kokoro connect and Mazui for Hyouka. And I get through with Subdesu for Haguure Yuusha because I don't wanna suffer from another group.

Just took a quick glance at the name. I can just say that I don't care, it's their choice (a strange one, though).

Well, at least, quality is still above average and most of the terminology is correct, with some exceptions.

What adjective was capitalized, BTW ?

I think this Caynz should be fine, as in anime, Kirito didn't go to confirm the name at the grave stone, so I guess French team just went with his real name, people who doesn't read LN won't get confused with two names later too.

Heh, I guess you guys never have to worry about picking a fansub team for your favourite animes. On the other hand, I'm suck with the likes of Crunchy Roll... Well, UTWoots makes the best subs, but they don't release a 1080p version. Fukou da...!!

Err, you know, CR actually upscaled their 720p source to 1080p to satisfy some of customers, this is pretty well-known fact after they announced they're doing 1080p simulcasting, you can get same visual result just by playing 720p in full screen mode. I think it's best to wait UTW sub to watch now, and later archiving 1080p BDrip when it's available, UTW is very likely to do it, if not, just mux their sub into 1080p BDrip raw.

I saw it subbed in the anime, the 1080p version by HorribleSubs. Erm.. I've just noticed that they also use the names Egil and Grimrock, so they're probably not that reliable... =.=

There's your problem. It's well known that when you can, don't go with the CR translations

Using MKVtoolnix, but it's a bit complicate if you never done it before as it also involve re-timing, so it's better to just wait someone else to do it, SAO is very popular I'm sure someone will do 1080 BDrip using UTW's sub anyway.

Kains/Caynz only matter because Kirito went to confirm name of the death guy at the monument, but in anime they cut that part out, so how the death guy's name is spelled no longer matter. Changing it in the next episode might even cause confusion.

I wonder how will 720p subs work on 1080p though. And tbh, unless you have a 60+ inch TV, I doubt tht you will need that kind of release.

IMO, 720p for now, 1080 when the blu-rays come out and download them all in a batch.

In .ass file, there's a setting for target resolution, if the sub's target resolution e.g. 1280x720 isn't match with video resolution e.g. 1920x1080, the subtitle renderer will just scale all the positions up/down to match the video, so there's no issue about using 720p sub in 1080p video.

Just watched the UTW subbed version, I really like their translations vs the Horriblesubs version. Is there a way to remove the karaoke? it sorta clutters up the opening, but that's just nitpicking I guess.
