Its grammatical errors. Translation errors are not my forte ( and I personally don't think there are any. I am able to follow the translation flow.). As to the places....near about everywhere. My main confusion is regarding the tense. There's a continuous change between past and present tense (leaving aside the dialogue). Also, there are errors for punctuations...and many more. changed to

was a particular large one, hopefully it hasn't drifted to far from what you originally wanted it to say.

Also it might be annoying, but could you have a glance over the Names and Terminology Guidelines? Most of the edits have been minor and towards changing things like "is" to "was", making things plural/singular of that sort of nature, trying to make things a bit more uniform looking in terms of numbers of [......],etc. Even more head scratching since I've encountered Yoshino's speech, LOL so I just left them how they were. The more dramatic changes I tried leaving TLC tags as hidden notes directly in the text, which you've removed so I assume they weren't too bad.

Ideally, like the latest edits, we'll just discuss them in the relevant discussion pages (There are few scenes that that I changed from the earlier chapter 1 edits that I'll pull out to discussion pages to go through later). But reading through it hasn't been too bad, there have only been 1-2 lines at most that in each chapter have been really confusing. Usually in the narrative bits of the text where some sequences seem a bit jumbled. The dialog has been fine. Hi Riki-kun. Erm, yeah...I just wanted to point out a few things about your Date A Live translations. To begin with, your English is confusing to the point of being incomprehensible. I guess the Editors can fix that...but the meanings might end up getting distorted. Also your translations aren't very accurate and you seem to be skipping some parts...If you don't understand stuff you can always post it in the Lingua Franca Lexicon forum. BT's never had minimum requirements for quality, and I don't think that it's a good idea to set such a precedent for it. Though it is a little troubling when translations are wrong, I think readers would be much happier to hear that you continued rather than giving up. I think that all stella meant to say was that you should feel free to ask for help when you think that there's something that you're not completely understanding. Besides, if you just take care when translating, skipping lines won't be a problem at all. Its grammatical errors. Translation errors are not my forte ( and I personally don't think there are any. I am able to follow the translation flow.). As to the places....near about everywhere. My main confusion is regarding the tense. There's a continuous change between past and present tense (leaving aside the dialogue). Also, there are errors for punctuations...and many more. Most of the edits have been minor and towards changing things like "is" to "was", making things plural/singular of that sort of nature, trying to make things a bit more uniform looking in terms of numbers of [......],etc. Even more head scratching since I've encountered Yoshino's speech, LOL so I just left them how they were. The more dramatic changes I tried leaving TLC tags as hidden notes directly in the text, which you've removed so I assume they weren't too bad.

Ideally, like the latest edits, we'll just discuss them in the relevant discussion pages (There are few scenes that that I changed from the earlier chapter 1 edits that I'll pull out to discussion pages to go through later). But reading through it hasn't been too bad, there have only been 1-2 lines at most that in each chapter have been really confusing. Usually in the narrative bits of the text where some sequences seem a bit jumbled. The dialog has been fine. BT's never had minimum requirements for quality, and I don't think that it's a good idea to set such a precedent for it. Though it is a little troubling when translations are wrong, I think readers would be much happier to hear that you continued rather than giving up. I think that all stella meant to say was that you should feel free to ask for help when you think that there's something that you're not completely understanding. Besides, if you just take care when translating, skipping lines won't be a problem at all. Nothing in particular. I was originally starting with Anki and Heisig's "Remembering the Kanji" to start off, but I stopped doing that. It's actually quite a good method, but since I was trying to read Light Novels anyway, I ended up spending a lot of time just picking out kanji and looking them up in dictionaries. I would highly recommend the Anki (flashcard program) and Heisig method, but it takes two years or so depending on how much time you invest every day. I plan on returning to it eventually, but that will probably only be when I've gotten through the LNs I really want to read.

Another method I considered was to make my own, physical flash cards. Go to the wiki "Kanji by Stroke Count" page and start there. Write the symbol on one side and put the pronunciation, 1 or 2 meanings (they're usually very similar anyway), and the stroke count. Though it is more methodical and includes stroke count + pronunciation (Heisig's only includes meaning), it doesn't offer helpful stories to remember the kanji like you might see in the former method. Heisig's is a good method for reading, but since you don't know what the pronunciation is, it does crap for your ability to speak the language.

If you're looking to read, then Anki + Heisig works well. If you plan to speak, consider Rosetta Stone or a similar program (I gave this a try and just found it somewhat annoying. Very good, but very annoying). If you're looking to do both, it might be best to go for the self-made flashcard route.
Really, it's up to you to decide. There are plenty of methods you can find online, just find one that suits you and tailor it to the time you can offer to it. I can't read Japanese. I'm in the process of learning. I've had katakana/hiragana down for a long time, and I have a rough grasp of what is being said when I hear Japanese, but I can't read it. The grammar is something that can be picked up by reading, but what I lack most is probably vocabulary, which is why I'm focusing on kanji for now (I've been using my LN method for a month and a half now, or something like that?). Since I've been doing this in my free time, I'm getting a whee bit better, but I still think the machine translation is a better interpretation than my own. What I released was primarily the machine translation; I just went through on my own beforehand purely for the sake of learning. I doubt anything I ever "translate" will be anything but a machine translation until I can read without referring to the dictionary for every sentence. I will say this again. It takes a child approximately 4 years to properly learn how to speak (birth to age 4) during a period of rapid mental growth (which none of us have now) in an environment conducive to learning (they're constantly in an area where the language is being spoken). Most of us are at a point in our lives where we can't devote much time to learning a language, live in a place where the language isn't spoken, and are old enough where our minds aren't flexible enough to pick information up. If you want to bother learning, I would suggest you make sure you can stick with a consistent schedule for at least a month without getting exhausted before you bother starting.
