Is that the translation you get? Whats the original text? What's the Romaji? "No" was just a Japanese particle without any meaning right? At least we dont have a "no" in our language, that I am aware of. What is the description of this Magi no Figur? If this really were German I would say it should be Magiefigur (or Magie-Figur) which would be in English Magic Figure, but that would be a noun I never heard so like that. In German we would it probably paraphrase it as "magische Erscheinung". Or if that Magi no Figur were a Magic branch, then I would probably call it Körpermagie (English would it probably be called something like Magic of the Body)

Ah, if it is used as a Magic Focus, than I would say we would probably paraphrase it as "magische Figur" (English probably like a Magic Object) and a noun as a combination of those two words were "Magiefigur", but probably we wouldnt it call it like that ourself. How is this "Magi Figur" described? (Is it described as humanoid?)

Hi hi, so i'm dropping by on your talk page to ask, how do i apply edits and everything...like I mean, most of my edits are going to be major and heavy edits, so is there a way for it the page to show the edits, and wait for approval from translators? I'm new to editting on these online wiki's, since i've helped edit the Akai Ito VN translation, however it was simply link the page on a page document, place original lines, then put the editted line under it, and continue on like that, which i then sent to the translator, and after checking the lines he would then add in the appropriate ones.

Hahah no problem, I had wanted to give back to the community, since being a free leecher and all that doesn't really sit well with me. But it's not that easy editting this novel, since i think the language the author uses is quite convoluted and fancy, so for now i'm going to be focusing on making it read decently in English, before anything else such as extravagant descriptions and all that. Hello, I noticed a change in Horizon:Volume 1 Chapter 16 at line 882, it was changed from "controlling their posture" to "taking control their posture" either way seems fine but the last one... doesn't read well, I don't want to edit it because it may be bad manners, mind checking it again?

Literally it would be like "weird space" or "abnormal space" or something but I think it can generally be translated to "different dimension" or "alternate dimension". Eg. Fuzetsu in Shana could be considered a 異空間. This is based on what it would be in Chinese though, I don't know if it has a different meaning in Japanese and it might depend on context. So, after seeing the context in [[Horizon:Volume_1A_History|Vol1 History]] I think "different dimensions" or even "parallel dimensions/universes" might fit better than Differing Space since it doesn't seem to be being used as a proper noun. Nor did i say tohyama was an incorrect spelling. Someone else had mentioned that some of the volumes had tohyama while other had had tooyama, and i was just trying to figure out which one should be used or if you wanted to leave tohyama as is. Alright, it looks like every "Tooyama" has been changed to "Tohyama", so I think we are good. Also, while checking, I noticed in volume 3 that Kinichi has an apostrophe (Kin'ichi), and I was wondering if that was a mistake or if it was cause of an accent or a different translation. Ah, when the kanji or whatever ends with the character ん or ン (n), the ' is used to denote it as such. Think about it this way, you can have kin-ichi, or kini-chi. See the difference? The ' is used to make it clear that the 'n' is its own character. However, when romanizing, it isn't always necessary. That's the thing about romaji. I was wondering if I can apply as an editor? I was mainly planned to clean the scans from the novels and add english text onto them, I've attached an scan from the first novel that was cleaned and edited, but was wondering if I can become an editor to upload more of these? Don't harass the man about the translation. Not that it will even get to him in time. I believe Seitsuki has been away from a computer for a while. Also, regarding the American v British English, I don't think he should even need a note. Editors seem to take too much liberty with the writing and go beyond fixing spelling/grammatical errors. Mind you, one of the major differences between the two forms is spelling, it's still an issue on the editors' part, since many of them don't know the British spellings, and most of them don't notice that the same "spelling errors" are done in the same way again and again. I can't answer you through PM, so I'll just post this here. I've unlocked all the chapters for volume 1, except for prologue and afterword which you did. You can redo the other chapters, including chapter 1 and epilogue which I did. Just remember that people are also complaining about poor translations from 7-13, and I did 7-11. At the worst case scenario, you'll be asked to retranslate 7-13. (And as for the consistent translations thing, there's NT1 and NT4.) Also, if you can, please check some sentences that I've commented on to make sure they stay close enough to the original: I was kinda grasping at straws when trying to make them make sense in English. The brackets around GROUP were probably meant to emulate the Japanese-style quotation marks 『』 used in the novels, but they aren't really necessary. The Japanese like to put things in quotation marks to distinguish them in the same way capitalizing the word is sometimes used in English (e.g. Esper names like Meltdowner and AIM Stalker are put in quotes in the novels.) I used to puts things in quotes excessively in my translations because I was copying the Japanese usage, but I stopped recently.

Is that the translation you get? Whats the original text? What's the Romaji? "No" was just a Japanese particle without any meaning right? At least we dont have a "no" in our language, that I am aware of. What is the description of this Magi no Figur? If this really were German I would say it should be Magiefigur (or Magie-Figur) which would be in English Magic Figure, but that would be a noun I never heard so like that. In German we would it probably paraphrase it as "magische Erscheinung". Or if that Magi no Figur were a Magic branch, then I would probably call it Körpermagie (English would it probably be called something like Magic of the Body)

Hi hi, so i'm dropping by on your talk page to ask, how do i apply edits and everything...like I mean, most of my edits are going to be major and heavy edits, so is there a way for it the page to show the edits, and wait for approval from translators? I'm new to editting on these online wiki's, since i've helped edit the Akai Ito VN translation, however it was simply link the page on a page document, place original lines, then put the editted line under it, and continue on like that, which i then sent to the translator, and after checking the lines he would then add in the appropriate ones.

Literally it would be like "weird space" or "abnormal space" or something but I think it can generally be translated to "different dimension" or "alternate dimension". Eg. Fuzetsu in Shana could be considered a 異空間. This is based on what it would be in Chinese though, I don't know if it has a different meaning in Japanese and it might depend on context. Alright, it looks like every "Tooyama" has been changed to "Tohyama", so I think we are good. Also, while checking, I noticed in volume 3 that Kinichi has an apostrophe (Kin'ichi), and I was wondering if that was a mistake or if it was cause of an accent or a different translation. Ah, when the kanji or whatever ends with the character ん or ン (n), the ' is used to denote it as such. Think about it this way, you can have kin-ichi, or kini-chi. See the difference? The ' is used to make it clear that the 'n' is its own character. However, when romanizing, it isn't always necessary. That's the thing about romaji. Somehow,I hope you'll allow for some terminology to be in to english. It's kinda difficult to read if one wasn't versed in
Japanese. Especially stuff like 'oppai' and 'bishoujo', which do not have any connotations and sounds wierd in the sentences(e.g 'grope oppai' just sounds disjointed). I'd understand for Maou, Senpai, Kouhai, lolicon and endings though.

Edited the topic title to ask how should we go about the names of the characters. Now that we have more translators on the move, naming issues are bound to come around. I found a couple of them and wanted to know if we should just leave them as the translator for the respective volume suggests or if we should stick with the naming given by you, the project administrator. Hyoudu Issei is the official name that we are using on Baka-Tsuki, correct? And every one of Issei's friends and family (such as Bucho) call him by his nickname Ise, correct? Yeah, that's right. We keep the original Japanese name for the characters. So we also use -san, -chan, and -sama suffix is well. So just like you said it's Hyodou Issei but his nickname is Ise and everyone in the club calls him that.

I finished creating the page, btw I'm switching the positions of Issei Hyōdō (兵藤一誠, Hyoudou Issei) into Hyoudou Issei(兵藤一誠, Issei Hyōdō) throughout the character introduction and name/terminology guidelines page. Wondering since you translated most of Highschool DxD. What exactly is Kiba's Scared Gear? The swrod handle or does it reside in him?

Well his Sacred Gear abilities allows him to create swords. Saying that he can recreate sword from the sword handle he is holding to and also even create a whole new sword. He can even create the sword on his foot.

Since the other editors said OK to my request to help, I would still like to. I'm not looking to edit with intent to adapt to english like I know someone will eventually but I'd like to help proofread and fix some of the grammer in the unadapted sections.
