It's an editorial thing. To show whispers and mutters. Give it a chance and you'll get used to it. You'll see. Or I'll think of something a little bigger but not as big as normal. It's not a simple matter of "getting used to it" those of us wearing glasses or have poor eye sight are having trouble reading it, which is a disservice. There was no need to make the font smaller, the reader could already tell that it was a whisper because it was already stated in the dialogue. Even publisher's don't do this... I don't know why you felt the need to do so.--Anonymous

Your comment would have worked If I myself didn't wear glasses. I've made a modification. The text is now big enough to be read yet not too big so as mixable. My guess is that it was formatted differently in the original as well. Anyways, if you still have a problem then try zooming ("Ctrl" & "+" keys). That'd help. The beauty of Soft-copies is that you can easily zoom. If you still don't like it I think I might try a different font. Hi, is there anyone still translating the novels? I do not mind helping out as an editor, but translation is beyond my means.

There is. You can see active translators far down the main page as well by checking the chapter registration page.
I hope js06 will find more time to work at this project soon, it is an amazing piece imo.

As for editing; do please go ahead. All editors "are welcome" (unless so specified).
Just make sure you use proper english, or be rollbacked.

Naw, just have severe problems doing it on an iPhone for some reason. I do it every time I have access to a proper terminal, which isn't that often I'm afraid :(

== Tiny Fonts for Whispers ==

...Can we not use the for the whispers? It's really hard to read without craning yor neck toward the screen, especially if your wearing glasses. Also, I really don't think the publishers use the tiny fonts to show that the charcters are whispering anymore in this day and age. I'm sure they discontined this practice due to many complaints and critism from their consumers. --Anonymous

On Infinite Stratos. Young Japanese women or school girls usually say "Ehhh~" just to sound cute or in a cutesy manner in Japanese society, especially in conversations between fellow woman/girls. So its better to keep them in most cases in IS. It's staying true to the author's original intent since "Whaaat" isn't very cute sounding for the most part, although it does fit in the sentence. Therefore, I suggest that we keep Ehhh~ the way it is unless there's a better alternative than "Whaaat" and "Huuuh" to replace "Ehhh~" in IS. I don't think Ehhh~ ''always'' denotes cutsyness, it can denote extreme surprise or tired surprise like Cecilia being bothered by the girls over her makeup, dress sense and perfume and her saying it (sometimes in her mind) out of exasperation. The only times it denotes cuteness is when the character tries to appear childish. Sometimes it just denotes surprise. It depends on the circumstances. But since there are multiple forms in english that can replace it we should take them into account. There are many variables. Wouldn't keeping the Eh's be fine too, instead of replacing them with Huh or What? It doesn't really detract from the meaning as whole in the Light Novel, some english translation projects like Toaru no Majutsu just keep the "Eh" the way it is, and I know its not commonly used in many English novels, but the Eh's are not that big of an issue. “Ehh!? Why!? Why are you here!? World War III… The Arctic Ocean… Y-you were dead… Wh-what is going on…!?” Misaka Mikoto from NT volume 2, chapter 1.
